Chapter 6: Encounters

Two figures stumble at the edge of the desert back towards the city in the distance "I can't believe we crashed into the only rock in the middle of the desert... and we lost Silver" Seraph looks over to Skye who is bouncing up and down as they walk onto a grassy field "Silver is very tough" she stares at Seraph with determination in her eyes "and his father is Boreas, did you know that?" "Not really, he never talks about his father" she looks at him almost questioning how that was possible "his father was said to have been killed, the crime scene was supposed to be near twilight lake, but.... They found nothing, no body, witnesses or trace of Boreas".

"So we won't be able to find him" "theoretically yes, but there is always a chance he may just be in hiding for now" they continue walking into the town "Silver would go back to his house, it's like he has a compass just for finding his house" "the bad people might still be there, but it might help in finding clues to where Boreas is" "Silver was searching for years and found nothing of importance, why do you think you'll find something?"

Skye shrugs as they approach Silvers house and open the front door "I'm surprised that those men didn't destroy the house" Skye steps onto the house and immediately into Silver's room "maybe he has a diary or journal I can read" Seraph steps into the room "I'm all for playing tricks on him, but this seems to be a bit strange" "its fine, I've stayed here before. Only for the night" his face starts to go red "the night?" Skye tilts her head, staring at Seraph and then punches him in the chest, which causes him to fly back onto the wardrobe "not like that, it was only because my escape pod crashed nearby"

He pushes himself off of the destroyed wardrobe "duly noted" he notices a small leather bound book hidden underneath the wood and picks it up "found it" Skye darts over and grabs it, opening it and reading out loud "I don't understand why I had to move here, don't like this place. It's too... judgmental" she flicks through a few pages "I met, well got stalked by Gaia, she's nice, except for her constant flirting.... Maybe I should ask her out sometime" "that entry was a few weeks ago, I think I'm a bit too far ahead" a hint of jealousy can be sensed in Skye's voice, she looks back a few days "raven... I heard that name a lot. No idea who or what it is, maybe I should look, but I don't want to get involved in this. He is dead and even if he came back, he is no longer my father"

"Those entries were really close together, he might not have written anything in it for months" "yeah, he moved here several years ago, met Gaia and me a few years later. Never heard of someone named Raven before" "I have" Skye looks up from the journal "he was a famous thief in Crystalia and first leader of the revolution, all hybrids looked up to him, even those who lived in harmony with humans" "that's impressive" "except, he disappeared as well, gave everything to his children"

"So... we track them down and find out what we can about the relationship between Boreas and Raven" "that's a great idea!" Skye raises her voice, with a hostile tone "except for the fact I ran from Crystalia and they may be looking for me" "ok, just... calm down" Skye walks over to the bed and collapses face first onto it "we stay here the night, see if Silver is nearby, if so or not, we find a hologuise" "a holo what?" "Hologuise, tricks normal civilians into seeing something different, we could use one to get past the security in Crystalia" Skye looks up, her eyes full of hope "yes! Let's find one tomorrow" she then falls back down and quickly falls asleep, Seraph looks over at her "she sleeps quickly, she seems to have feelings for Silver, how will this affect him" he walks out the room.

As the sun slowly sank behind the forest, a small white orb appeared above the tree's and two figures dropped from it, one clad in Bronze armour takes out their sword and plunges it into a tree, slowing their descent to the floor, whilst the other precedes to get hit by several branches as he tumbles to the floor.

After a few moments of laying on the floor in pain, Silver stands up and looks at the other figure "you could have helped me" "I didn't know I would be teleported by the four guardians, and I didn't think I would see you again". "We only met once and you kicked me down a hole" As he says this the figure presses a small bronze button by her ear and the armour retracts into it and attaches itself as an earring "now do you remember me sweetie?" "G...Gaia, I thought you had been captured" "I was, but I was rescued by a friend" she looks around as her black hair slowly moves due to the gentle breeze.

A small stream trickles water past them as the trees move gently "where shall we go now, my precious metal" Silvers cheeks go a light pink "can you please stop flirting with me, and I think we should head back home" a flash of lightning and rumbling of thunder sounded the arrival of a sudden downpour, the skies grew darker as clouds suddenly swept overhead. "S-S-silver...." She looks directly into his eyes, shaking.

"Scared of thunder and lightning?" Gaia nods and hugs Silver tight as another rumble is heard. Silver places his hand out and creates a small ice wall around them, which grows and covers the two in a dome. "Is that better" Silver looks down and smiles at Gaia still clinging onto him "y-yeah" she looks up and blushes. Gaia slowly closes her eyes and tries to sleep, still holding onto to Silver as he lays down on the grass. "Don't worry Gaia, i'll protect you" "I know..." they both succumb to sleep as dark clouds pass overhead.

The sun slowly rises above the horizon, a few trickles of water drop from the ice and hit both Silver and Gaia causing them to both wake up, from the sudden coldness "AH!" Gaia shoots up, quickly followed by Silver "what's wrong Gaia?" "Sorry... the cold water... fell on me and I woke up" Silver places his hand on the ice wall and causes it to crumble to the ground and disappear. He then looks around and sees a reflection of sunlight coming from the end of the stream and walks forwards "Silver?" Gaia quickly gets up and runs after him "Twilight Lake.... This is where..." Silver looks over the lake and spots the cliff overlooking the edge "that cliff is where my father was murdered" "they never found... "Silver interrupts. "He was murdered!" Silver stared angrily at the cliff "I know he was, he was never a good father, always left me and mum, but he was someone I looked up to. "He begins to get calmer "I was angry when he 'disappeared', I would rarely admit he was my father, but now... I want to find him, I need to know what happened, and why"

He looks at the surface of the lake, gently kneels down and dips his finger into it "cold, but not enough to cause a shock, or hyperthermia" he looks back up to the cliff "not high enough to cause damage to the skin or organs" he looks to the side and spots a figure in a black hood staring at him, and then runs off into the forest "HEY!" Silver takes off running after the figure into the trees. The figure keeps dodging the trees and running past, but Silver manages to keep his pace with the mysterious person.

After some time the figure retreats behind a few trees, Silver spots this and creates a small ice dagger, he creeps up to the tree, spins around it and holds it against the figures neck, Silver pushes the hood down and sees a black haired and blue eyed male, a small line of grey streaks through his hair. "who are you and why do I keep running into you" "you got me kid, just as fats, tough and clever, you're his kid alright" "you're talking about Boreas, correct" he draws the ice dagger back a bit, away from his neck "yes, he was a decent friend of mine, although his death was a bit shocking" "his death, no, he didn't die" "kid, his friend, well ex-friend killed him" "so what does this make you?" "Raven, I knew Boreas very well, but the killer, was a hybrid named Lance" Silver steps back and melts the weapon.

"Now kid, I'm going to say something important, listen if you value your life. You see a man in black armour" Silvers eye twitches, remembering the encounter "you run, do not fight him, you will not win. He has had years of fighting, learned from the best" Raven notices Silvers eyes twitching "you met him already" Silver looks down, his voice a hoarse whisper. "Yes"
