Riley's POV
Maya, Ashley Mae, Missy, Ava, Topanga, and myself were walking the streets of downtown New York. We were looking for bridesmaid dresses for Maya, Missy, Ava, and Topanga. Ava stopped at a store called, Amazing Wedding and Bridesmaids Dresses. "Lets go here!" Ava shrieked. "I don't know," I said. Ava pouted, "Come on. My mother got her bridesmaids dresses here. In fact, they still fit the bridesmaids, several years later. Please? Besides, they have amazing lavender dresses."
My heart skipped a beat. Lavender was my favorite color, and I spent weeks looking for lavender bridesmaid dress. "Fine, but what do you guys think?" I smiled. "Whatever you say, it is your wedding." After Missy said that, everyone nodded in agreement with her.
We walked into the store to find it almost completely empty. The employees who were supposed to tell the customer where to go, where nowhere to be found. The cashier in the front desk was reading a newspaper and sipping coffee. The manager was dressed so casually dressed, without the name tag, I couldn't be able tell it was the manager. There was a customer, but he had disappeared, unsatisfied.
The manager came over to is, "Welcome to Amazing Wedding and Bridesmaids Dresses. I'm Mr. Foyer, how may I help you?" I stepped in front, "Hi, I'm getting married in three weeks. Do you have any lavender bridesmaid dresses?" He nodded and led us to a section of books. There was a book labled, Bridesmaids Attire. He flipped to a page, and the showed it to us.
"I like E." "I like B." "No, A is the best!" The girls argued about the dresses, as my finger traced to one. "This one," my finger had slide over to D. The girls nodded in agreement and I smiled.
Two hours later, we had all the dresses in the car. Everyone drove to their various houses. When I got home, I saw that a note was in the table. Riley, put on your swimsuit and meet me in the hot tub. Specifically the bikini, -Lucas.
I chuckled and changed into my bikini. I found Lucas in the hot tub, sipping bubbly water from a wine glass. He handed me one, and I relaxed in the hot tub. We clinked our glasses together, and drank our water.
I sat on Lucas's lap, and started to make out with him. His hand went down by bikini, as I bite his lip. We went to our room, and began the makeout session.
I woke up, to hear a bottle crashing. I unwrapped myself from Lucas's arms, and grabbed a bat.
Silently, I tiptoed into the kitchen. I peeked into the kitchen to see my old college friend, Sierra chugging a bottle of beer. "Hi Riles!" Sierra giggled.
I placed the bat down, and grabbed the bottle away from her. "Sierra, what are you doing here?" I asked. She grabbed the bottle from my hands, "Trying to have some fun!"
I slapped my forehead, "Sierra, you're drunk. Go home." She laughed so hard she almost choked, "Go home, Riles! I am perfectly fine, cupcake. Have a beer." She chugged down the bottle of beer. "Fine. If you won't leave, you could crash here. Just, wait here," I ran to my room. I grabbed a T-shirt and blanket, and ran to the kitchen. Sierra was passed out on the floor, so I dragged her to the couch. I didn't bother with the T-shirt, so I just covered her with the blanket. Then, I tiptoed into my room, snuggled with Lucas, and fell asleep.
Lucas's POV
I checked the alarm clock, it read three o'clock in the morning. Riley was asleep and I unwrapped my arms from hers. I walked to the kitchen and poured a glass of milk. There was a girl sleeping on the couch, with one of our blankets. I knew who it was, she was one of Riley's sorority friends. From Riley I heard that she was always drinking, smoking, or doing drugs.
"Sierra?" I asked. She woke up, "Hey Lucas. Do you have cigarettes and a lighter?" I shook my head, "I think you need rehab." She lifted a cigarette lighter and pack of cigarettes drom her pocket, and started to smoke. From the other room, I hear Riley coughing. "Sierra, don't smoke in here. Riley is pregnant," I said to her. Then Riley started to vomit, in the bathroom.
Riley came down, looking pale, "Sierra, take that outside." Sierra scoffed, "Fine, I need to take my meds anyway." Riley stared at her, "Meds for what?" Sierra shrugged, "Chronic pains." She went to the porch with a container of pills, bottle of beer, and cigarettes. We went to follow her, and stared in shock. She took the pills, washed it out with beer, and smoked.
"Sierra, that's dangerous!" Riley shrieked. Sierra scoffed at us, "Like you care." She continued rambling, "All you guys do is nag, nag, nag! Hypocrites! You do the same thing! Drinking and drinking. At least I own up to my mistakes!" Being drunk, she was unaware of her surroundings. She was so drunk, she walked into the pool.
I dived in after, not caring that the pool was freezing at night. I spotted Sierra, unconscious on the pool floor. Swiftly, I grabbed her arm and swan up to shore. Clorine burned my eyes, but I lifted her to the pavement. Riley had gone inside and called the ambulances. I checked Sierra's pulse, and it wasn't there. "Come on Sierra! Come on!" The ambulance's blare filled the night, as they lifted her in the ambulance.
Riley's POV
At the hospital, we sat there waiting. Finally, a doctor comes out of the room. He had bags under his eyes and rimmed glasses. "Miss Welsh had  flatlined, and died," he said. Lucas glared at the floor, "What was the cause?" The doctor frowned, "Mr. Friar, it isn't your fault Miss Welch died. She had an overdose on crack, weed, beer, coke, and many other things. I'd be surprised if she didn't die. You tried your best to save her. My advice is to get some rest and try not to cry. Especially you, Miss Matthews, with you being pregnant and all."
As Lucas drove back to the house, he kept his eye on the road. "You know it's my fault she died." His sad  aquamarine eyes focused on the dim light from the lights. I quickly texted Maya that Sierra died. "How?" I knew I couldn't help him. "How?" Lucas yelled. He scoffed and parked the car by the road. "I let her drown, Riley. I didn't save her. You know, how? I'm not the type for saving. I'm that type that watches people get saved. I'll never save someone, 'cause I'm a freak. A weird stupid freak, that'll never be loved by anyone," he choked.
As soon as a tear fell out of his eye, I forcefully pressed our lips together. When your fiancé is depressed, the logical thing to do is make out with him. He put his arm around my waist, as my hands were on his cheeks. We stood and stumbled into the back seat, ripping each other's clothes off. Maybe, make out wasn't the best choice of words.
Lucas pulled away, "Riley, if we continue to 'make out', we're going to have twins." I put my clothes on, and sat in the front seat. We drove to the house just as the rain patted on the window. As soon as we got home, the rain started to come.
Lucas and I decided to watch a movie, to take our minds off of Sierra's death. The rain started to beat harder and with each clash of thunder, I cuddled him closer. Then we heard light slashing noises on the door.
Lucas opened the door to find a cute gray and black cat that had been drenched in the rain. Lucas carried it to the kitchen, "Can we keep it?" I nodded and stroke its fur.
"What should we name it?"
"Babe."
"King."
"Love."
"Kitty."
We argued back and forth. "Midnight?" I suggested. The cat meowed and cuddled in my arms. I made and 'A ha!' face at Lucas. He rolled his eyes.

"Midnight it is."
