Riley's POV
I was walking down the streets, wearing my work outfit. My phone vibrated in my pocket, so I took it out. "Hello?" I said into the phone, turning the corner. "Riley Lynn Matthews, will you go on a date with me?" Lucas asked. I chuckled, "Lucas, I'm not a thirteen year old captive anymore, I'm twenty-five year old New York writer. And, yes. I would love to go on a date with you. Where are we going?" Even though I can't see him, I'm pretty sure on the other end, he is smiling. "The Beachfront Carnival. Pick you up at 8!" he said, and hung up.
When I got home, I took a shower and threw on blue jeans, boots, and a shirt that said I LOVE ROCK. At exactly 8 o'clock, Lucas came with his car. He drove us all the way to the carnival. There was dancing, music, and the Magnolia Ferris Wheel was lit up. We went to the ticket booth, to see Farkle and Maya with her pregnant self. "Oh, Riley. Did I forget to mention this was a double date with Mr. and Mrs. Minkus?" Lucas said, before kissing me. Maya turned and came to hug me, it took her five minutes to get to me.
Maya had to sit out for some rides, but she was able to go on the Magnolia Ferris Wheel. The Ferris Wheel took us high in the sky, as the sun set. Maya, Farkle, Lucas, and I thought a walk on the beach would be nice. Maya and Farkle, sat near the tide, letting the ocean touch their toes. Lucas and I held hands and walked along the beach. Before the sun had set, Lucas took me to a place about fifty feet away from the ocean.
He held my hand and looked in my eyes, "Riley, I have been in love with you since the day we meet. I cried with you, laughed with you, and held you close. You are my sunshine, and my everything." He kneeled down on the sand, and took out a black box. Tears rolled down my face, when he opened it, because there was a ring. "Will you marry me?" Lucas asked. I turned to see Maya, Farkle, and my family. "Say yes!" they shouted. I looked at Lucas, "Yes."
He smiled as he fastened the ring on my finger. I smiled and we pecked. Maya grabbed Farkle's arm, "Farkle!" He turned around, "Yes?" She looked at her feet, "I think my water just broke." Everyone started to scream, and Maya started breathing heavily.
Farkle took Maya in his car, Lucas and I followed. We drove to the nearest hospital.
"My wife is giving birth!" Farkle shouted as we stepped in the hospital lobby. A nurse brought a wheelchair and rolled Maya away. Farkle took out his camera, and followed behind her. Lucas and I sat in the waiting room with my parents, Maya's mother, Shawn, and seventeen year olds, Ava and Auggie. Two hours later, Farkle came to the waiting room. "Come meet my daughter."
We went to the room, and saw Maya holding a little baby. She was wearing a pink cloth, and was sleeping. "Any names?" Ava whispered. Maya nodded, "Ashley Mae." Lucas smiled, "Ashley Mae Minkus." Ashley Mae had blond hair and chubby fingers and toes.
After that, Lucas drove me to my house. We sat on the couch, and he said, "First order of business, we move into my house." We kissed, and cuddled each other. Lucas went into my mini fridge, and pulled out a bottle of white wine, and two wine glasses. He poured it in the wine glasses, "To us."
We drank it, and sighed. "So, how's that new book coming along?" he asked, pouring more wine. "Nope, don't talk about that crap, Lucas. Can we enjoy wine, please?" I said pouring more wine. He chuckled and drank his wine.
*sexual violence*
He kissed me, but it only heated up from there. His tongue made its way into my mouth. I tore of his shirt, as he did mine. We made out with each other, until we realized that the couch wasn't doing us any justice.
He carried me by my legs into the bedroom and plopped me on the bed. He ripped off my jeans, while I unzipped his pants. He bit my neck, and I groaned. "Riley, are you ready?" Lucas asked. I sighed, I really wasn't ready. "Yes, I am ready."
*end of sexual violence*
I woke up, with someone's arms around me. I looked at Lucas, and looked under the covers. We were hardly wearing any clothes, the thing covering us, were the covers. I felt a wave of guilt. Is this wrong? Then again, Lucas is my fiancé.
I got up, and walked to the bathroom. I took a shower and threw on my work clothes. Before Lucas woke up, I made him breakfast, (sunnyside-up eggs, toasted toast, and bacon.) He came downstairs and kissed me. We ate the breakfast, and I left for work.
I am an author who has a bestseller named, The Woman In Me.
It's about a girl called Everest Carter who has a woman as her soul. She goes on all of these adventurers, and never dies. At the end of the book, Everest dies but the woman in here doesn't.
I went inside my office and opened the file. I went to Microsoft Word, and opened a blank page. I had a new idea for a book called Sam. It was about a boy who committed suicide and wrote clues to his girlfriend about why he kills himself. In the end, the girlfriend thinks he killed himself because of her. She kills herself, but before that, she wrote the book and named it Sam.
I typed up the first sentence or letter. It read, 'Dear Julia. I know that you are sad and worried about me. But I am probably in a better place. I wasn't murdered, this was my own doing. Please forgive me, Julia. I love you so much, so don't come yet. -Sam.'
I saved it, and started to type another paragraph. But suddenly, an email popped out. I clicked it open and it read, "Hey babe." Smiling I replied, "Hey. I have a great idea for a book. Marvin's going to love it!" Marvin Drake is my editor and publisher. He replied, "That is awesome! Bye!" I continued to write the story, and here is example.
'Dear Julia, I have been gone a good three days. The cops are trying to find my letters. Julia do me a favor, please. Burn all my letters, forget about me, move on. I love you so much that I am not telling you why I killed myself. You would get hurt. I don't want you to suffer. Goodbye forever, Julia. -Sam.'
When the day ended, I went home to get ready for the move. Lucas had already beat me, 'cause his job ends at three. Lucas is a horse trainer and horse back riding consultant for the richer side of New York. He makes $10,000 a day, but he lives in an apartment. Lucas said of we combine our money, we could live in the richer side of New York.
I got to my house, and changed. Lucas was there with a bunch of boxes, and suitcases. "I think you should take the furniture over to the house, first," Lucas said to the movers. We already combined our money and bought the house. The movers put the furniture in the boxes and took it to the van.
Lucas helped me pack my clothes, shoes, and makeup and hair supplies. Lucas's car was already at the house, so we took my car. It was a 16th birthday present, a blue Honda Accord. The drive was only fifteen minutes long, before I pulled in the driveway.
According to Lucas, it had three bedrooms, a living room, three bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, living room, an office, a patio, a wine celler, an attic, hot tub, and a pool. Tomorrow was a Saturday, so we were going to unpack and look for wedding chapels then.
The movers packed the boxes, got paid and left. The bed was already set up, and so was the wine celler. I brought out two bottles of white wine, and gave one to Lucas. We hit them together, and drank it.
"I heard about this new club in this part of New York. Want to go?" Lucas asked. I hesitated, "Sure. But, if it looks like any of us is going to have a severe hangover, we're leaving." He kissed my cheek, "Deal."
We drove to the club called, Club Drop It. Lucas and I walked inside to see a bunch of people twerking, who were all probably drunk. A lady came and put a plate of shots on the table, "In this club, happy hours means three hours of free shots. And it is happy hours!"
Lucas and I drank down a shot. Soon, I was dancing with him, drinking my third round. "Riley," he said chugging his shot down, "Can you give me a lap dance?" Lucas sat down, and I twerked on his lap. I sat on his knees, and we started making out.
A girl came and started giving him a lap dance. I almost cried, so I went to the bar station. "Give me three beers, I am in the dumps," I said to the bartender.
Lucas's POV
After that girl gave me a lap dance, I went to look for Riley. I spotted her at the bar, drinking a bottle of beer. She was clearly drunk, so I took the beer from her hands. "Hey!" she hiccuped, "That's my beer!"
I shook her, "Babe, we are leaving." I grabbed her by the legs and carried her to my car. I fastened her in, and drove to our house. She fell asleep after twenty seconds of driving.
When got there, and I took her and took her and laid her on the bed.
I took of her pants and shirt, and gave her one of my shirts. I changed into a undershirt and pajama bottoms, and went to sleep.
Later, I hear Riley throwing up in the toilet. I walked to her, and patted her back. "Lucas, how are you wide awake at three o'clock in the morning?" Riley asked. I shrugged, "I don't know. I guess I love you so much, babe."
She smiled and we pecked before going to bed. For the next couple days, she has been throwing up, a lot. "Riles, I think you should go to the doctor," I said, biting into my fourth pancake. It was Riley's special recipe for almond butter pancakes. She sighed, "Ok, but let me get ready."
Riley's POV
I drove to the doctor's office, and parked my car. Lucas couldn't come, because one of his clients asked for a private lesson. I registered in, and waited for Dr. Robert Nelson. "Riley Matthews?" Dr. Nelson said, looking at me.
We went to his office, and he sat me on the bed. "What seems to be the problem? The last time I saw you, you were being discharged at the hospital, twelve years ago," Dr. Nelson said.
"I've been having severe headaches, nausea, stomach and back cramps. Am I sick? Am I tired? Can you help me?" I said to him. He took of his glasses, "Riley, I think your pregnant."
I scoffed, "I took a test, it said negative." He rubbed his eyes, "It could have been a faulty test. My tests are 100% accurate. If it says no, then no. Yes, then I can give you some pain medication. Please, take the test."
I scoffed, if I was pregnant, we'd have to push the wedding forward. I know Lucas loves me through everything, but a kid? Let's hope he loves me enough to stay. I took the test, "Fine."
