Riley's POV
I was woken up by Lucas lightly shaking me. "Yeah?" I asked sleepily. "Babe, two more hours. Breakfast is in three minutes," Lucas smiled. "I'm going to go to the bathroom and splash water on my face," I croaked. Lucas handed me a gray wash cloth to wash my face.
The bathroom was small but I could squeeze. I washed my hands and soaked the wash cloth with hot water. I wiped my eyes, nose, chin, under arms, and ears. After that, I went to our row and sat by Lucas.
He was eating waffles and there was a breakfast burrito by him. "Two in one breakfast?" I chuckled. He handed me the burrito and a coffee, "It's yours. I know how much you love them."
The burrito had sausage, bacon, egg whites, melted cheese all wrapped in a wrap. It tasted so good and the coffee accompanied well with it. Then, I decided to watch a movie.
About halfway, I turned around to look at people on the plane. In one row, a lady with bloodshot eyes was sleeping. I scanned her row and saw a baby carrier by her feet.
Was I going to look like that when I'm a mother? Then I saw a newborn baby on her lap. It was a newborn, that I understand. Newborns keep you up at night and need constant care. Plus, right beside the lady was a man with matching bloodshot eyes.
Finally the plane started to land. "Alright ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for flying with Malaysia Airlines to The Gili Islands, Indonesia. Have a great day!" the intercom rang. Lucas and I got our carry-ons and walked to baggage claim. After twelve minutes, we got our bags. When we stepped outside, there were millions of taxis and cars buzzing everywhere.
"Taxi! Taxi!" Lucas called. I shoved him aside, "Watch and learn, Friar." I put my index finger and thumb in the corners of my mouth and whistled. A little green taxi pulledup and I gave Lucas a 'Told ya' look.
The drive to our honeymoon suite was a good thirty minutes. The hotel was called Scallywags Smugglers Hideaway and our suite was reserved. Lucas and I walked to the front desk.
"Reservations for Friar," Lucas shyly smiled. "Ahh, of course. The Golden Honeymoon Suite. Excellent choice. Our busboy, Damien, will be here shortly," the receptionist said.
Damien led us to our room and dumped our bags there. The suite had a queen size bed covered with gold covers and silk pillows. The bathroom had a white ceramic tub and a shower top. Outside was a deck with a pool. There was a TV and a full kitchenette system.
Lucas and I flopped on the couch. "Wanna watch a movie?" Lucas asked. I nodded, "Sure. But what?" "Hmm," we both smiled. "Titanic!" we shouted. Lucas flipped through the channel and I laid my head on his shoulder. The movie started and I drifted off to sleep.
Lucas's POV
Riley fell asleep on my shoulder. She is such an angel, even on those days when she is snappy. I grabbed the remote and turned off the TV.
I picked her up in bridal style and carried her to the bed. I took of her shoes, socks, and pants. Then I covered her with the blanket and laid next to her. Then, I closed my eyes and slept.
Riley's POV
The buzzing of my phone woke me up. Lucas was asleep, my head neatly nozzled into his chest. I unlocked my phone and checked my texts.
Unknown: Stay away from Lucas. He is mine and always will be. As soon as this baby comes, he's going to leave you and the brat. Plus, he's got a secret that he's been hiding from you. Bye, Riley.
I stared at my phone in horror. And then it hit me. Secret? He was hiding a secret from me all this time. What could possibly that bad that he couldn't tell me.
Lucas stirs and a pair of aquamarine eyes stare at me, "Hey, pumpkin." I glared at him and got off of the bed. "Riles, what's wrong?" Lucas asked. "You've been hiding a secret from me? Don't you think I deserve to know?" I snapped.
"Of course you deserve to know. But, what I did is bad, really really bad. DO YOU NOT TRUST ME?" Lucas snapped. I gave him a glare, "Lucas, I trust you with my life! But I think I should've known! Do you not love me enough to tell me?"
I slid on the bed and cried. I expected Lucas to yell and scream at me, but instead he sat on the bed. "Riley, I'm sorry. I should have told you. I love you so much, so when I tell you, don't leave me," he let a tear fall. I nodded and sat up.
"You know when you were kidnapped? Missy came to my house to comfort me. But then, she started to make out with me. And I let her do it! I was sad and upset about you, that I didn't realize what I was doing. I'm so sorry, Riley. When I realized what she was doing, I threw her off of me. Please forgive me," Lucas cried.
"Lucas. I forgive you," I whispered. I engulfed him in a hug and we stayed there for five minutes. Lucas kissed my forehead and sighed, "Wanna go sightseeing?" I nodded and grabbed my sneakers and room key. Lucas got his sneakers, a bag of our swimsuits and towels, and his room key.
The Gili Islands was a island with the bluest water I've ever seen. Lucas had rented a locker and we had changed. Lucas laid a beach towel on the sand and dumped our stuff there. I breathed in the air and smiled.
Lucas's swim trunks showed of his four pack. Girls in the front desk were giggling and snapping photos. My bikini was red and white.
Lucas's POV
I wrapped my arms around Riley's waist. "Last one to the water has to rub the winner's back for ten minutes," I dared. Riley scoffed, "Your on, Friar." We lined up at the line I had drawn.
"Ready, set......." I started. Riley had started to run towards the water. "Cheater!" I yelled sprinting after her. She laughed and kept running. But, I grabbed her bridal style and spun her around.
She screamed and laughed and I loved seeing her so happy. "Lucas! I need to go in the water so you can rub my back!" Riley shrieked. "Okay , but you asked for it," I taunted. I ran into the water and dropped her in.
She surfaced with an evil grin on her face. "Nope, no!" I shouted. She grabbed my arm and pushed me into the water. We splashed each other till 10. At 12, we had reservations for a scuba diving trip.
Riley and I walked to the scuba diving place, changed into our wetsuits, and boarded the boats. The boat drove to middle of the beach and stopped. "Okay," a man that smelled like fish barked, "Jump." Riley and I held hands and jumped in.
Riley's POV
Above the ocean floor was beautiful but under was amazing. There were fishes and crabs swimming along the bank. Lucas was right beside me, snapping pictures with his water-proof camera.
I swan and grabbed a clump of sand. A grouper and I were face to face with each other. I swiftly swam up with Lucas. He snapped a couple more pictures and we surfaced. After lunch, Lucas and I walked along the shore of the beach. Lucas was wearing a white tank top, blue shorts, and black sandals. I wore a white dress and mint sandals. We stared at the sunset and kissed each other.
Then we went to the hotel. Lucas changed into a tank top and boxers and I wore pajama bottoms and a green tank top. "Goodnight, Lucas," I whispered, snuggling into his chest. "Goodnight, Riley," Lucas smiled. I closed my eyes and slept.
