Cortez has a few broken ribs and had to go through surgery however, he's is ok at least... But still... he went through all of it to find redemption. It's almost heroic... for Cortez at least. I'm glad he's ok regardless. He has been a good friend to me all these years...
A lot of things have happened recently... I just want things to calm down. I'm sure they will... I hope.
I shifted in my seat. These benches at the hospital aren't very comfortable. I have been sitting here since last night. After I took Cortez to the hospital...
Guy1 and Guy2 have been at the school all day... according to Noel at least.
She said she would pick me about an hour ago...
I wonder where she is.
I stood from my seat to stretch my legs.
*yawn*
I still feel a little tired...
I walked to the closest window and looked outside.
It's still snowing and it looks like it's coming down a lot harder than it was yesterday.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned around to see a nurse who handed me a phone.
"Here, the phones for you."
I grabbed it.
"Thank you."
The nurse nodded her head and walked away.
I put the phone to my ear and said "Hello?"
Noel responded.
"Hello Joseph, I'm sorry but I can't pick you up."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I can't pick you up. I have to go check in with... the two b-bosses of ours."
"So what do I do then?"
"Don't worry. I called Marline to go pick you up?"
"Eh?"
She called Marline? What exactly did she tell her...?
"How did you get her to-"
"You worry too much Joseph. I just called her and explained that you were at the hospital with Cortez, after an accident on the ice. I then told her you called me and asked for me to take you home, because you didn't want your parents to get angry at you for the whole endeavor."
She planned that excuse... and I am going to say an accident on the ice is far from accurate...
"So when will she be here?"
"I said you would go meet her outside."
"But it's cold and snowing outside."
"You have a jacket don't you?"
"Yes, but-"
"Ok then. I will talk to you later."
*click!*
She hung up on me...
Well... I better go tell Cortez I have to go.
I walked over to the nurse at the receptionist's desk and handed back the phone.
I then walked into the room where Cortez is.
Cortez sat up on his bed a bandage around his waist.
He smiled at me as I walked in.
"Hey Bro."
"Hey Cortez, how are you feeling?"
Cortez laughed a little bit.
