Chapter 7

Lily's POV

-1 week later- (Sorry I keep skipping times😂 I promise I'll try to skip less)

So Bianca hasn't said anything to me or to anybody about anything so that's good and Grayson has been ignoring me so that's good too. Life is going pretty good right now for me but I still feel terrible. I'm lying to my best friends about me. I'm pretty sure lying to your best friends is being fake.

I am currently getting ready for some dinner that Ethan and Kaylee set up for me at a restaurant. I was confused but didn't question it since they said they were paying for me. They said it was fancy and I was excited to get ready because I am a very creative girl so I like to do my make up and hair really creative. (Her outfit above)

After I was done I told Ethan and Kaylee to come and get me for the mystery dinner. Once they got here, they made me put on a blindfold. They put on the radio and I sang/screamed the lyrics.

"PEOPLE FALL IN LOVE IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS. MAYBE JUST THE TOUCH OF OUR HAND." I sing/scream and they laugh at my terrible singing. After about 10 minutes of driving, the car stops and I start jumping up and down in my seat. I hear the car door open and I hop out. I go to take off my blindfold but Kaylee stops me.

"No not yet wait till we get to our table" she says. I groan in frustration. We enter the restaurant and many different smells fill my nostrils. All amazing smells.

"Dolan" I hear Ethan say. We start walking again to what I'm assuming is our table.

"Okay sit down but don't take off your blindfold until we tell you to" Ethan says. I slide into the booth and I feel Kaylee slide in next to me, blocking my exit.

"Okay take off your blindfold" Kaylee says. She sounds nervous but I don't think too much of it. Man how I should have thought much of it. Once I took off my blindfold, sitting across from me was the one and only Grayson. He smiled nervously at me and I glared at him. He gulped.

"Why is he here?" I asked looking at Ethan and Kaylee.

"He kept bothering us until we agreed to bring you to this dinner." Ethan says.

"So after you ignore me for a week, you want to come to a dinner with me?" I ask glaring at him again.

"Yea" he says and smiles a little. I soften my glare a bit and just grab a menu and start searching for what to eat. YAYYY were at Red Lobster. I literally am in love with Red Lobster. The waiter comes to take our orders and we all tell her our orders and drinks.

"Strawberry lemonade and to eat I would like peppercorn steak with mash potatoes." I say to him. He nods and leaves to get our orders.

"You like steak? I would have expected you to order something like a salad or something" Ethan chuckles.

"I'm not like those girls that worry about their weight. I eat what I want and enjoy it. Cause you know, yolo" I say and giggle. Grayson laughs a little to himself but I ignore him. The rest of dinner is pretty awkward. When the food gets here, I dig in immediately and I get some stares from them but I just ignore them and continue to eat.

"Wow you eat like beast" Grayson chuckles. Who says that to a girl? I give him a questioning look.

Grayson's POV

What the fuck was that Gray? Who says that to a girl? I asked- no begged Eth and Kaylee to bring her here and I'm screwing it up. She looks so good, even when she's eating her food. What the fuck are you saying? You just did this to get her to forgive you. You don't like her in any way. Or do you? No you don't. You don't like her at all.

You don't like how her eyes are two different, amazing colors.

You don't like the way she sways her hips when she walks.

You don't like when she laughs that amazing laugh.

Who the fuck am I kidding? I really like her. What's wrong with me?

"Grayson? Graysonnnn. GRAYSON" my thoughts are interrupted by Mackenzie repeating my name and waving her hand in front of my face.

"Huh?" I ask confused.

"Do you want desert?" Ethan's asks me. I look over to see the waiter standing there, and he's kind of staring at Mac. I clench my jaw a bit and glare at him.

"Yea Brownie sundae" I say through gritted teeth. He nods and looks at Mac and then winks. I make my hands into fists as I feel the anger building up in me. Ethan nudges me in the arm and gives me a 'calm down' look. But I just can't.

Lily's POV

I saw Grayson get angry as the waiter winked at me. I blushed but I managed to hide it from everyone. This dinner was very awkward but it was worth it. The dinner was delicious and FREE. That's just the best way to have food.

We started leaving the restaurant, me trailing behind everyone as they talked about who knows what. I felt someone tap my shoulder as I was walking and I turned around to see our waiter. I looked at his name tag thing and his name was Brandon. I look up at his blue eyes and smile.

"Hi" I say.

"Hey I just wanted to know something. Are your eyes naturally like that?" He asks.

"Yea they are" I say looking down.

"Well I think they are really cool and beautiful" he says and I look up and smile at him.

"Thanks" I say smiling.

"No problem so what's your name?" Should I tell him my real name? Yes, he will not be another person I lie to.

"Lily" I say smiling.

"Cool as you can see I'm Brandon" he says pointing to his name tag. I giggle.

"Yea"

"Can I have your number? I'd like to get to know you better" he says scratching the back of his neck.

"Of course!" I say and he hands me his phone. I put my number in and name then hand it back.

"Okay I'll text you later" he says smiling.

"Okay" I say returning the smile. We say our goodbyes and I walk out to see them all waiting for me.

"What took you so long?" Kaylee asks as we enter the car.

"Just washing my hands" I say and I feel my cheeks heating up.

"Okay" She says sarcastically. She clearly doesn't believe me but I don't want to mention Brandon in front of Grayson.

This was a great dinner.
