Chapter 4

Lily's POV

-the next morning-

It's only the second day of school and I'm already tired of it. This isn't good. I lazily get up and put on some jeans and a loose blue t-shirt. I brush my teeth and hair and do my make up. I go down stairs and pour myself some cereal. While chomping, i get a text from a Kaylee:

K-hey I was wondering if I could get a ride? I missed the bus :(

Me-yea of course where's your address?

She sent me her address and I quickly finished my cereal then put on my blue vans. I grabbed my bag and then jogged out to my jeep. A few minutes later, I pull into Kaylee's driveway then honk. She comes out and jogs to my car.

"Damn this car is nice as hell!" Kaylee exclaims looking around the car. I giggle.

"Thanks it was a birthday present" I said as I backed out the driveway.

"So how long have you been dating Ethan?" I ask wiggling my eyebrows but concentrating on the road.

"A year" she says and I glance over at her to see her blushing.

"Aww that's cute" I say and slightly shove her shoulder. She giggles and changes the subject. We talk for a few minutes until we reach the school. We walk in and go our separate way to our lockers, agreeing to meet up in first period.

As I open my locker it's almost immediately slammed shut. I turn to see Bianca, Grayson's Ex. I roll my eyes.

"May I help you?" I ask with sass.

"Yes actually" she says smirking.

"Too bad" I say and turn to walk away but she turns me back around.

"Listen here bitch I know your little secret" she says still smirking.

"And what secret is that?" I ask trying disguise how scared I was. Did she know my real name? My past? The reason I'm here? WHAT THE FUCK IS IT?!

"I know your parents are filthy rich and I want you to take me shopping." She smiles evily.

"Are you getting a fever or something? Because your obviously out of your mind to think I'd do that" I say.

"Nope I'm perfectly fine. But you better do it or else I'll tell everyone your little secret Lily" I stare at her blankly. How does she know who I am? What the fuck? She can not tell people why I'm here. Everyone will think I'm a liar. No no no no no no. This can't be happening.

"What are you talking about? I'm Mackenzie" I lie through my teeth trying to convince her.

"Oh shut the fuck up. Don't try to play it off. I know who you are and why your here. And I know about your sister." She smirks. I'm about to punch her right in her fake nose when Grayson goes between us.

"What's going on here?" He asks and Bianca starts acting very different.....

"Oh Grayson I'm glad your here. She came over to me and threatened me. Please tell this mean girl to leave me alone babe." She said grabbing Grayson's arm. He looked over to me.

"Is this true?" He asks me. Of course he takes her side.

"Yea it is. I come over to her at my locker. That makes so much sense" I say sarcastically.

"Aha so you admit it!" Bianca exclaims.

"You know what I don't have time for this. Believe me or don't I don't care. Just go run over to your slut right there." I say and point to Bianca. She starts to do the fakest cry ever and I roll my eyes.

I turn around and start walking to my first period class. I know I seem very confident but I'm petrified. That bitch better not tell anyone. If my secret gets out on the second day here, I'll never be sent on another experiment.

I walk in the seat and wait for the bell to ring signaling first period. I'm just sketching in my sketchbook (duh what else would I be doing?) when I feel someone sit next to me. I don't bother to see who it is since I know it's Grayson.

"Whoa your a good artist Mac" I hear him say as I feel him peering over my shoulder. At least she didn't tell him.

"Thanks" I say blankly.

"Come on are you mad at me?" He asks me.

"Nope not mad" I say blankly again.

"Okay?"  He says more as a question.

The whole class period is awkward between us. When the bell rings I wait behind so I can ask the teacher to switch my partners. Kaylee and Eth already agreed that they were fine with the switch. I tell the teacher and she says she doesn't care.

I walk out into the hallway and I'm greeted by Grayson. Damn can't this boy take a break?

"What'd you stay behind for?" He asks raising an eyebrow.

"We are no longer partners. Your new partner is Ethan" I fake a smile at him.

"What?! Why? I was not in on this and I should have a say in this!"

"Well you don't too bad so sad. I'll see you later probably" I say then leave to my next class. That went well.......
