Chapter 23

- the next day -

Lily's POV

"Thank you for flying with International Airport"

"Man that's going to get old real quick" Adrian chuckles.

"It already has" I chuckle with him. We get a cab and we are on our way back to our apartment. I don't have a car anymore since we shipped it back to Florida and we're gonna travel so we don't need it anyway.

"Man, feels like just yesterday we were living here." Adrian says as we walk in.

"I know right. So many memories" I agree. We both look at each other and giggle.

"So I'll invite Kaylee and Ethan over and of course Grayson will come with them" Adrian nods and I pull out my phone

Me to group- hey guys come to my house asap

K- okay be there soon

E- ill be there with Gray soon. He really wants to talk to you.

M- you guys told him didn't you?

K- it may have slipped

M- ugh whatever just get over here

I slide my phone in my pocket and throw myself on the couch while Adrian lays in the recliner.

"You never told me why your so angry at Grayson" he says. I sigh and look at him.

"Reasons that you don't need to know" I say and stare at the ceiling.

"Did he hurt you?! Cause if he did I swear to god-"

"He didn't! Just leave it alone and I'm just letting you know now that I'm not on good terms with him and most likely won't talk to him at all." He puts his hands up in defense and nods his head.

"Good" I hear the doorbell ring and I look at Adrian so he can get it. He groans and lazily gets up. I hear the door open and cheers.

"Aye my boys!" I roll my eyes at his stupidity but smile. Then Kaylee runs into the room and tackles me, followed by Eth and Gray. I laugh.

"Get off of me" I groan.

"I'm so glad you guys didn't leave yet. I knew you wouldn't leave without saying goodbye. Did you move your flight or something? You told me you were leaving yesterday" she says as she gets off of me.

"Actually we did leave..." I trail off. Kaylee gasps.

"Are you guys ghosts?" She says as she goes to poke my face. I slap her hand away and giggle. "Okay definitely not a ghost" she says.

"Got yourself a keeper Eth" I laugh.

"Yes I do" he says and kisses her.

"Aw cute. Anyway, we brought you here for something important. Me and Adrian have decided to travel the world. It's something I've always wanted to do and I can't do it alone so Adrian volunteered but my parents want more people to come with us." I stop 'cause Kaylee has the biggest smile on her face by now and clearly gets where I'm going with this.

"We want those people to be you guys" Adrian finishes for me. Grayson gives me a "really" look. He truly seems surprised. I guess they did tell him. I uncomfortably look away and Kaylee is freaking out by Ethan.

"Oh my god! We're going to travel! But my parents don't have enough money for all the expenses. I don't have enough clothes. I don't have a camera to take pictures. My parents won't let me go on vacation with a bunch of my friends. What about school? And-"

"Kaylee! Oh my god, don't you think we thought of all this?" I say, rubbing my head from the headache she just created. "We're going to pay for everything, my parents will talk to both your parents, and fuck school" I explain and lay down on the couch.

"Haha that's not a good enough reason to leave school Mac" she says and throws a pillow at me.

"Fine, how about you do online school while we're traveling?" I suggest.

"That'll work. I'm so excited! When do we leave?" She asks.

"No idea. First we need to figure out where we're going" Adrian says. An idea pops in my head. I go to my luggage and grab the map I have and pin it to the wall. I grab another random pin and step away from the map. Everyone is around me by now, curious of what I'm doing. I close my eyes and spin around twice then move forward and put the pin on a random place on the map. I open my eyes and smile in excitement at our first stop.

"Looks like we're going to Bora Bora" I say. I hear the people cheer around me and feel someone wrap their arms around me. I look to see, of course, Grayson hugging me. Not a surprise. I shift uncomfortably out of his grip. He gives me the sad eyes but I just walk away and back to the living room. I check my phone.

"Okay the next flight to Bora Bora is in... 3 days. That's enough time to get packed right?" I ask. Everyone nods their heads. "Well, of course I'll haft to help Adrian get packed or we won't leave for a week. This boy brings everything with him on vacation. He always made us run late to the airport and we always ran through the airport like idiots" I laugh. Everyone laughs with me and Adrian gives me a little shove.

"Mac, can I talk to you?" Grayson asks.

"Um, I guess" I say and we walk to the kitchen together.

Here we go.

"Look Mac, I am so-"

"I know, your sorry for what you did" I finish for him as I get a orange and start to peel it.

"No, I'm more than sorry. I feel so terrible that I almost.... I can't imagine how scary that must have been." He says and I can see how sad he is as he looks down at the ground.

"Hey look at me" I say to him. I move his chin up so he is looking straight into my eyes. "I know your sorry for what you did. You were drunk and didn't know what you were doing. I understand that. This is why I didn't want to tell you what happened. But now that you do, we haft to leave it where it is, in the past, and move on. Sure, it'll be weird and I may be uncomfortable around you for a while but I'll get used to you again. So don't worry about it and let's get excited for this trip" I finish and give him a weak smile as a tear leaves my eye, thing about the night again. His eyes are all watery but he gives me a small smile. I wipe my tear and walk back into the living room.

"So I'll text my parents to call your parents. Could you give me their numbers?" I ask. Kaylee gives me her parents number but Eth and Gray said they'll tell their parents themselves cause there parents will be fine with it.

"Okay, done" I say.

"Now let's start figuring out what we're going to do in Bora Bora and book our rooms!" I say excitedly.

I'm going to be traveling with my favorite people.

And I'm going to be lying to them the whole time.
