It’s been 2 weeks since classes have started and I’ve been hanging out a lot with Finn. We have 3 classes together, so we often get partnered up or something, we also sit together. Finn’s really popular but he chose to hang-out with a loser like me. I guess like my phone number, this is also for club purposes.

While Kelvic, on the other hand, well, we still hang-out after school and watch some TV together. I swear, we wouldn’t drift apart. He’s way too valuable now, I think.

“Don’t forget about your homework on equality. Class dismissed.” said Mrs. Corazon, are Social Studies teachers as she signaled the end of this class, which also signals the end of this day. Thank, God. I want to get started on this homework right away, ‘cause I want to do nothing.

As I crammed all my stuff in my bag and stood up, Finn appeared by my side, “Oh hello.” I said, as I scoot out of my desk.

“Veronica, would you like to hang out with me in my flat for today?”

I’d love too, omfg, “Finn, I’d love to, but I have homework and I’m in to this topic. Maybe some other time?” crap.

We walked towards the door together, “forget about hanging out, we have projects together, you know.” Finn, please. “Finn, dear those aren’t due in 2 weeks. Relax will you?” We’ve come to the door and I am attempting to make a run for it, not that I don’t want to hang out. It’s just that, as I’ve said, I want to do nothing.

But before I can even walk out that door, Finn blocked it. This is awkward considering the fact that, we’re the only ones left in the room. God, no.

“Finn! Get out of the way!”

“Only if you come with me.” Ugh, I tried to push him out of the way, but no good, he’s way to strong. So much for doing nothing tonight, “ugh. Fine! Now will you please get out of the way?” He flashed me a cheeky little smile and step out of the way, “After you.” I rolled my eyes at him but managed to flash a little smile.

Walking out of the main building, we saw an ice cream truck, we gave each other this look, “Come on, I’ll get you some!” Finn said as he reached for my hand. I felt our hands touched, but I immediately yanked it back. Finn’s enthusiasm turned into some sort of fear knowing he crossed a line, “I didn’t mean to.” I nodded, “Let’s just buy some ice cream, okay?” I said brushing it off as if nothing happened.

As we were walking together towards his dorm building, eating some ice cream and chit-chattering, “Hey come on, inside.” Finn said as he reached for my hand and this time I didn’t yank it back.

He opened his door and as I got a glimpse of his room, wow it looks pretty good. One thing that got my attention was a frame with their family picture, the twins, their mum and dad and his little sister. I think it’s adorable.

“Want anything to drink, Veronica?”

Yes. Wine would be good, “Do you have any orange juice?”

The other wall, which seems to be his study hall, considering the fact that his desk is there and so does his mac, has this collection of Polaroid pictures. And by collection I don’t just mean your usual set of pictures, I mean like a lot, a lot.

He joined me in my amazement of how awesome his life is and how beautiful his friends are, “Wow. That’s a lot of ink and trees?”

“Umm.. thanks?” It wasn’t a fucking compliment, “You know sometimes it’s just nice to have a cup of tea on a busy Wednesday afternoon after Pre-Calc and reminisce the memories I had with these people.” He said as he gave me a glass of orange juice.
