Ever since the “incident” with Kelvic, we kind of drifted apart. We’re not that close anymore and we only hang-out because of the club activities or for school purposes.

Meanwhile with Finn, well we’re officially together now, like boyfriend-girlfriend because we’re always together, either at his flat or mine. We just sit there in each other’s arms and listen to music, until he sang a part from Second & Sebring.

this is not what it is, only baby scars. I need your love, like a boy needs his mother’s side”

I blushed, got butterflies and just replied with, “You have a nice voice, Finn.” Wow what the heck?

He chuckled and replied, “Veronica, I’m not just singing,” he said as he paused and took a breath, then continued, “I’m asking you to be my girlfriend..”

“S-s-seriously?” I said as I looked into his eyes, his beautiful hazel eyes sparkling and looking into my soul.

“Seriously.” He replied as he held my cheek. I nodded and smiles as he slowly leaned into me. And bam, sparks. He kissed me, on the lips. It’s like all the guilt from yesterday, disappeared.

His lips, warm and soft on mine. Like the morning sun came down personally just to greet me with its sweet warmth. He pulled back and I saw him smirk, “No, come back.” I said as I pulled him back to the kiss.

A week after our “anniversary”, he invited me to Oliver’s birthday and of course, since he was both our friend, I agreed to go.

“And this time, you can wear ANYTHING you like, baby.” He said as he emphasized on the word ‘anything’. I let out a wee chuckle, but I’m a little and I mean a little bit annoyed, and somehow, Finn notice this and hugged me by my waist, “Baby, I was only being cheeky.”  I just smiled at him and gave him a kiss. “Baby where is the party?” “By the community pool.”

He left my room and told me he’ll get ready and so should I, so I did. I didn’t wanna wear something too slutty, so I just grabbed my swimsuit, topped it with a black sun dress, a little knapsack and flip-flops. And for once, it’s pretty warm here. Like 16 degrees!

“Hey baby, you ready – wow.” He looked at me and just stared at me. I kind of got shocked so I snapped my fingers in front of his face, “What up?” he let out a smirk then replied, “you. You…a…umm.. look amazing.” God, Finn, shut up. I’m really insecure of my body, but instead of saying that to him, I just kept it to my self because I will never be those kind of girls who fish compliments from their boyfriends.

“Thanks? Let’s go now. Oliver’s waiting for us, right?” he nodded and we rode his cars to the event. He assured me that it was only a few people on campus because Oliver’s parents rented the place for him. Apparently, he’s turning 21 within that week.

As we arrived, there are plenty of people from campus. We went up to Oliver and greeted him a happy birthday, “We’re only allowed here ‘til 10 and there’s some drinks by the cooler.” Finn sat with them and I looked for Alan. I forgot to mention that we’re really close now.

“Hey Veronica,” he said as I approached him, “beer?” he offered me one and I took it. I’m not sure why, I don’t really drink, but you know. Maybe it’s good? I took a sip, and damn! It tastes so fucking awful! Alan seemed to notice me and he let out a laugh.

“Tastes bad at first, but it gets better every time. Cheers to that?” he said and we clicked bottles and took a gulp. God, it still tastes horrible. I went back to Finn and sat on his lap, “Baby you drink?” he asked, a bit surprised, I think. I put the bottle down and explained to him that it’s my first time and that Alan made me do it. Alan overheard us and said, “I have nothing to do with it, all her!” they all laughed and Finn just kissed my lips. I tasted the alcohol from his mouth, “Baby, it’s okay. Have a drink, have a smoke, have fun, it’s a party after all.” I smiled to him and made a toast for Oliver, “To Oliver, happy birthday man!”
