The bell started to ring as the teacher closed his book. "Alright class, the test is tomorrow. Make sure you're ready!" the teacher said. After he said that, a girl ran out of the classroom in tears. I ran after her and caught up to her on the front stairs. She sat down at started to cry very hard. I walked towards her and she turned her head around. It was my friend Rebecca I'd known since last year. I sat down next to her. "I'm going to fail the test." she said while sobbing. "No you're not. You're amazing on your own! You don't need powers to ace that test." I said trying to encourage her. "Do you need someone to walk you home?" I asked extending my hand out to her. "Nah. But thanks for encouraging me." she said wiping her tears away. "Alright, see ya!" I exclaimed as I ran home at 300 mph.
As I was walking up to school the next day, I saw Rebecca and this group of other guys yelling at each other. I ran over and asked Rebecca what was happening. "What's going on?" I asked Rebecca as she turned her head over to me. "This girl bashed me with her shoulder!" said a voice in the group. It was one of my old "friends" from 5th grade. Brett. "Hello Carter." he said while parting his crew to let himself pass through. "Hello Brett." I said looking into his eyes. "I never thought I'd see you here." he said while nodding at me. Oh, forgot to tell you, he's Quicksilver's son. He's not as fast as me but he is pretty fast. "Look Brett, Rebecca and me don't want any trouble. So lets just move on." I said struggling with my anger to punch him in the nose. "Sorry, but we're not going 'till this is solved." one of Brett's crew members said while cracking his knuckles. "Fine. If it's a fight you want, then try to catch me Brett." I said. I ran into the school and Brett chased after me. We zoomed around the school, attacking each other. I abruptly stopped and tripped him. I ran back outside and Bretts crew ran off.
