As I walked up to school the next day, Kylie and Damian were waiting for me as always. But they had worried looks on their faces. I walked up to them. "What's going on?" I asked them. "The principal wants to see you." Kylie said. I sighed. "I think I know why." I said. I ran to the office at 1500 mph. "What's up?" I asked the principal. "Carter, I think you know why you were called in here." She said to me. "Yeah. I do." I said before sighing. "Zoom?" I asked her. "Yes. Your father's with the other members of the Justice League right now and will be for another week or so." She said. "I'll take care of him." I said. I walked out of the office and someone was waiting for me. Zoom. "Hello. Haven't seen you in a while, Carter." he said. Blue electricity crackled around him and he ran at me. I dodged him punches and I kicked him in the gut. I ran out of the office and he followed me into the courtyard of the school. I stopped at the fountain and so did he. Students came to the windows to watch the fight.
"Are you ready to die?" Zoom asked me. "No, and I don't think I will for the next 80 years." I said with a smirk. Kylie and Damian ran into the front of the crowd to watch. I glanced at them and then looked back to Zoom. I ran towards him at my top speed and he did the same. Each time we clashed, both of us went faster and faster. We stopped after about 40 clashes. We went back to our original spots with cuts and bruises. Zoom then ran off, probably going to go heal up. I walked to Kylie and Damian. "Are you ok?!" Damian exclaimed. "Yeah, I'm fine." I said. "Are you sure?" Kylie asked. "Yes. Just wish I could've stopped him from getting away." I said.
