The Tattoo (zayn)

Part 11

*rachel's pov*
"Sorry sorry I'm late." I said as I came into my apartment. Asher was waiting for me there and I could tell he was a little pissed.
"Where were you?" He asked. His tone of voice was stern and it annoyed me extremely.
"I was just watching a movie with Zayn." I replied. I told Asher that Zayn and I were friends a while back and I told him that that was all we were.
Asher didn't answer. He just rolled his eyes, which really grinded my gears.
"I'm sorry do you have a problem with that?" I asked slightly sarcastically.
"Let's see do I have a problem with my girlfriend hanging out with a rich handsome musician?" His comment reeked of sarcasm.
"Zayn is a good guy and we're just friends." I tried to defend his honor.
"Well that's not what that tattoo says." I knew it when he said it that it had been building up for a while.
"You said you didn't have a problem with it. You said you didn't have a problem with him."
"Well sorry I guess I was wrong. I don't like the guy. I don't like him at all. I don't like the way he looks at you." Asher was getting heated and I was really hoping Arielle had already left for her dinner date with Jasper's parents.
I knew it wasn't that Asher didn't like Zayn, it was that he was jealous.
"Zayn and I are just friends." I said once more.
"Ok well I'm sorry but you are going to have to chose. Me as your boyfriend or him as your friend."
I was extremely offended when he asked. That he would ever make me chose. That decided it immediately.
"Asher. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" I asked. I knew I could make a point that would make what was about to happen, easier on us.
"Settled down with a kid and a house. Why?"
"Because I see myself somewhere completely different. We want different things. And it took you proposing that I make that decision, to see that." I was calm and I felt him relax.
"So this is it?" He asked. 
"I guess so." I sighed. I gave him a hug.
"I'll see you around. You're going to do big things." He started to leave.
"You're a great guy Asher. Don't forget that." After I said that he left.
