Mockingjay Boarding School [Completed]

Chapter 1: Arriving

Boarding School, that's where I am, I'm in boarding school, my mother had enough of my 'disgusting behaviour', when my school sent a note saying I got kicked out for taking the screws out of Mrs Janis's chair, it was funny though, so my mum talked it over with my dad and they picked out this strict boarding school, it's a bummer, I'm gonna miss my best friend Joannah, I had a ex boyfriend Gale, a complete douche, was having sex with a chick behind my back, news got out and boy was I angry.

We pull up to the parking lot of my boarding school

"I promise I'll behave" I say trying to change their minds

"Sorry Katniss but you said that last time"

"But she'll miss my seventh and eighth birthday" my little sister Mackenzie says

"Don't worry Macky" I say kissing her forehead, I go out grabbing my two duffle bags that has all my school stuff and wave as my dad pulls out and Mackenzie is crying, I sigh walking in and going to the front office and a lady in a navy blue skirt that hugs around her, white blouse, navy blue jacket and navy blue work heels looks up with her blonde hair in a neat bun

"Yes?" She asks

"Katniss Everdeen" I say and she stands opening a draw and going through files and goes to a hook with keys and gets one

"Follow me" she says, she walks us out and takes me to the next building, this is a HUGE boarding school, girls dorm room then straight ahead is the boys, next to the girls dorm room is the church and on the other side of campus is our classes, library, garden and assembly area.

We stop at a door with the numbers 324, she knocks on the door and it opens, a red head girl opens it and smiles

"Ms Everdeen, this is Ms Cresta, your room mate" she says giving me my stuff

"I don't want trouble with you" she says rudely and walks away, okay, that was rude

"Hi I'm Annie" she says

"Yeah yeah" I say walking in and she shuts the door, I choose the bed without any of Annie's stuff and I start unpacking

"So where are you from?" She asks

"Why does it matter?" I ask

"Just trying to be friendly" she says

"Look I don't want friends" I say and she looks at me sadly, I have never been good at making new friends, I find it difficult too keep them too.

I lay on my bed texting Joannah

Wad up brainless

This boarding school is a prison!

Dude, make friends, in boarding school, you'll have to have friends to get you out of stuff

I sigh putting my phone on my bed and I look to Annie who's playing on her iPad Air 2

"I'm sorry I was all... Rude to you, I think we could try to be friends" I say and she smiles

"Cool! Tell me about yourself" she says

"Okay, I have a mom Linda and a dad Gary, I have a six yer old sister named Mackenzie, she has blonde hair and dark eyes, I have a twenty six year old brother, two nieces and three nephews, I have a German Shepard back home named Bonnie, I have a best friend back home called Joannah and I got kicked out of my school" I say

"What did you do to get kicked out?" She asks curiously

"Was being a shit head and in screwed my teachers chair so when she sat down BANG!" I say and she cracks up laughing

"Oh man that would've been hilarious to see!" She laughs and I laugh with her

"Tell me about you" I say

"Okay, I have a little brother who's twelve, Dylan, single mom Michelle, a cat back home named Fire cause he's orange, three birds named Brian, Twiddle and Tweedy, a best friends named Madge and Delly, I have a boyfriend who goes here named Finnick and four other friends who go here" she says

'Please all the children make your way to the auditorium, file in and take whatever seats, girls and boys separated, be there in four'

A ladies voice rings through our dorms

"Okay this gives us time to change, you go first, I need to get my clothes out" Annie says and I nod grabbing my uniform and going into the little changing room, I get dressed but without the jacket cause it's duh, were in Summer, I walk out

"Don't put your jacket on, it's hell hot outside" I say

"Yeah I know, they let you ware it without your jacket in Summer" she says walking in, I sit on my bed and wait for Annie and she comes out wearing the same thing as me

"Okay, we should head to the auditorium now" she says and I nod, we walk out joining all the group of girls and we stop at the door cause the head mistress of our dorm room is there

"I'm madam Shrader, I am in charge of the girls dorm area, now follow me, quietly or else no supper and extra school work" she says, she looks about fifty and has grey hair but has green eyes.

We walk in two lines behind madam Shrader, in silence, even me, that's a surprise, well I do love supper and hate extra school work.

I take a seat next to Annie and the building is filled with silence seeing the head people on stage, a lady with grey hair but doesn't look THAT old

"Greetings, I am madam Coin, your head mistress, we are to have gatherings like this when news or events come up" she notifies

"Now, for all of you who don't know where the classes are there in zone B, right now your in zone C, whenever it is break you are to all make your way to the great hall which is zone E, the bathrooms are on the first floor of all your dorm rooms. Lights out is at eight o'clock, dinner is served at six, boys and girls are NOT to enter each other's door rooms, if so caught then the head committee will decide your punishments, the cane, the ruler or the books" she says, in case your wondering, how this is okay? Well the government let this school have these punishments seeing as it's 'such a good school'

"Now every morning before classes start, you are to file in the church for morning prayers and sing a hymn, every Sunday we have church, you buy your uniform at the front desk and you are to receive it the next day. Now pick up your hymn books and open to page 319 and we'll sing the first verse and chorus of You Raise Me Up" she says and we all stand and the music plays, I do hope it gets better here.
