Chapter 9: Back At School

~A Month Later~

"Wow Katniss, this is more cleaner then you had it when you lived with us" mom says as we walk in my dorm, I'm holding Mike so he's on my shoulder playing with my hair and soon the door opens and Annie walks in

"Katniss!" She squeals

"Hey Annie" I say

"Awwwwwwwe! Is this your little brother?!" She says smiling

"Do you mind if I hold?" She asks and I look over to mom who smiles

"Sure!" I say smiling and let her hold, I take a picture of her and she gives him back to my mom

"Well I guess I'll leave you too to it then" she says and I smile and nod, I hug her and she leaves

"OMG! What's he's name?!" Annie squeals

"Michael but we just call him Mike for short" I say and she smiles and I show her the photo, she puts a arm around my shoulder and sighs

"It's good to be back" she sighs and I smile

"Yeah" I say and we sit on our comfy beds

"So how was your weekend?" She asks

"First, bad" I say

"What happened?" She asks

"My friend Joannah, she was going out with my ex boyfriend" I say sadly

"What?! The cheater?!" She says furiously

"Yeah, I got angry and yelled at her and kicked her out and Peeta comforted me" I say and she makes kissing noises and I blush

"We're not dating" I say

"Yet" she says and I bite my lip

"But it was good overall" I finish

"What about you?" I add

"I talked to Finnick on the phone almost the entire time, I realised I got to let it go and I spent the rest with my family" she says and I smile

"I'm so proud of you!" I say and she hugs me

"As long as you guys are with me, I'm okay" she says and I smile.

~School Start~

We sit in the auditorium, girls on one side, boys on the other and mistresses and sir's in the middle, president coin stands up to the mic

"Welcome back! I am glad to see you all here and healthy, now this is your last year of this boarding school" everyone awe's in sadness

"I know I know, it's sad but this year will be a little more fun then work, of course more exams and homework but longer due times, this year is a year of hanging with your friends who you might not see ever again till your out of college, this year means more privileges, you can go out of school but as long as your back by seven o'clock, if you wish to go out for dinner you may but it'll go out of your own pay, now this only happens on Fridays and Saturdays, no other days" she says and everyone says 'yes!' At the same time

"Okay open your hymns to page 101" she says and we all stand and sing from the hymn book, this is so exciting! My old school would've NEVER let us seniors do this but that's public school, this is boarding school, and it's amazing, I always thought that in boarding school you just work and work, that's all but I stand corrected.

~In Health~

"Okay everyone now that your in your groups, you make a poster with different types of bad foods and underneath or anywhere, neatly, write what a certain food does, I want this whole page finished by next week on Friday" he says and we get started, it's Peeta, Annie and I in a group, Peeta will draw and Annie and I will write

"Oh! You may also talk QUIETLY amongst each other" he says

"So Peeta, a source told me that you and Katniss talked all- ow!" She says as I stop on her foot hard and Peeta shakes his head smiling while chuckling and I peer over and my eyes widen

"Peeta! You never told us you were such an amazing drawer!" I say and Annie takes it

"Why were we not notified mr Mellark? Huh?" She says and he chuckles and shrugs

"It's something that can calm me, plus decorating cakes at the bakery, trust me, I have heaps of spare time to practice" he says, yeah but if he gets it wrong his mother would beat him, I will NEVER EVER do that to my children not even if they were annoying me to death, I wouldn't raise a hand on them neither would Peeta, he wouldn't raise a hand on our- I mean his children if he has some someday, he'll be such a great and fun dad.

"So how long has your friend been going out with the cheater?" Cato asks after I just told him and clove and I sigh

"Two months after I came here" I say

"That's so cowardly, no offence but it is, you at least have the right to know first up about that sort of thing that's just so cowardly" Peeta says and I smile

"Guys really, it doesn't matter, he's not my boyfriend anymore and she's not my best friend anymore, luckily" I say and we all laugh

"Can you believe we're in our last year" Annie says and I smile and sigh

"Yeah, it's sad, I'm gonna mis this place" I say looking around and we're all quiet for a little bit

"Do you think we're all going to be friends when we're all in and out of college?" Clove asks and I smile

"Hope so" I say and look to Peeta who smiles and me and I smile back and looking down while putting a strand of hair behind my ear, geez, I'm in such a girl mood, what is wrong with me? I'm a rebel, being mischief to teachers and ditching periods, next minute, I'm a hard worker who always gets their work done and hands it in on time, yeah I've told them what I did in my old school but they all thought it was hilarious and I love them, so very much.
