We are in the classic black taxi. I take shotgun. The driver smiles at me a bit awkwardly. 2 grown men (I think uncle John is still growing) sitting in the back of the car and his daughter in the front.
" But how did he get past the CCTV? If all the doors were locked ..." Dad sighs exasperated.
"He walked in when they weren't locked."
"But a stranger can't just walk into a school like that." Facepalm.
"Anyone can walk in anywhere if they pick the right moment. Yesterday – end of term, parents milling around, chauffeurs, staff. What's one more stranger among that lot? He was waiting for them. All he had to do was find a place to hide."
We pull up outside a place I've only been to once. It's St. Barts.
