It was a little machine. With a note on it saying:
'Dear Humans. We are taking you out of earth so that you will be safe. We were going to destroy you all but decided to save you. We mean you no harm. See you in a few hours. From the Martians.'
After reading the note Amber understood. She collapsed to her knees and started to cry. For the first time since her father died she was crying. Ryan seeing her crying ran outside to comfort her. He looked at the note and read it quickly. He understood too. He sat down next to her and patted her back "Don't cry, everything's gonna be alright Amber" he said calmly
"No, no it's not! We have been forgotten, abandoned on this world whilst our parents have gone to outer space! We're gonna die out here and no one can help us" in anger Amber grabbed the machine and threw it over to a red car. Then suddenly a hologram came out of it. Amber and Ryan ran over to it and watched.
"Hello, planet earth. If there is anyone still here then I'm terribly sorry. 20 days until the world is destroyed. Enjoy your last few days. If you survive until the 19th day we will be able to come and collect you when we check for any castaways. Try to survive and you will be safe. Goodbye. This message will self-destruct in 20 seconds"
Ryan clicked on, grabbed Ambers arm and ran "Run! Amber, Run!" They dived behind a far away car just in time as the explosion went of, metal from the car went everywhere and Ryan dived on top of Amber to stop the destruction from hitting her.
