BANG! "What was that?" Said Ryan, losing eye contact with Amber as he looked out the window. When he looked away from her she slouched back into the couch. She felt somewhat overpowered over him, he was so handsome and so kind. It had happened. She had fallen in love with him, what if he didn't like her back though? Amber got up and walked over to him at the window and he saw she was cold. He took his jacket off and threw it around Amber then cuddled her to make her even warmer, she looked out of the window.
The streets had been destroyed and buildings were collapsing. The city was ruined. They needed to get out of there. It wasn't safe. But where else could they go. All the houses were abandoned they could keep moving to keep safe.
"We need to move to the next street. For your own safety. We have to survive for 2 weeks and a day. We can do it." She took his hand and looked up at him.
"It's for our safety not for me. I can do it. Not on my own, but I can do it. We have to look after each other."
They held hands tightly and stared at each other. Suddenly there lips softly touched and it was like everything was normal, that nothing was happening. Suddenly a tree collapsed through
the window and almost hit Amber, Ryan pushed her out the way and got hit himself.
Amber screamed. "Ryan! Oh my gosh" she got a crow bar and
lifted the tree the slightest bit but it was enough for him to escape.
As soon as he got out he hugged Amber tightly. Tears rolling down her
cheeks, yet she was smiling. "I thought I lost you"
"You can't get rid of me that easily" he said with a cheeky yet weak smile. Amber helped him over to the couch and just like he did, she aided him by using a cold, wet tea towel and soaked his scars that lay on his arms, slightly bleeding but mainly bruised.
"Thank you" he said to her
There was a moment of silence..."No problem. I owed you"
It was very quiet now. Awkward in a way. But she liked him and he liked
her. It was a match made in heaven. "Well I best get some sleep. You should to." Said Ryan calmly."Yeah, good idea. Um Ryan..." Said Amber quietly "Yes, Amber?" Said Ryan just waiting for what she was going to say.
"I... Never Mind. It doesn't matter."
"Okay.Good Night, Amber" he walked over to her kissed her on the lips. She
kissed him back. Then he ran to the stairs looked back at her, and
slowly walked up them. Amber lay down on the couch, smiling like a
Cheshire Cat. She softly fell asleep. Dreaming sweet dreams of finding
her parents and being saved. Would it ever happen though?
