Hayley's POV:
"You cannot be serious right now?" Josh slams the door behind him as he welcomes himself into my room. I knew this fight was bound to happen. So I chose to put it off for just a couple more seconds as I take out my empty luggage from inside my closet. "So that's it? You're not even going to consider me?"
"Consider what Josh?" I ask as I unzip my bag and begin to walk around my room and gather some clothes for the trip."MY what?!?" he's angry. I can tell by his tone. "My opinion Hayley. You know damn well I don't like you and him together. Especially alone." I roll my eyes and get a bag and walk into the bathroom. "You're not even listening to me." He leans against the frame of the door.
"I am listening Josh," I sigh, "I just don't have time to deal with your jealous tantrum right now."
"My jealous tantrum? You think that's what this is?" I push past him and throw my bag onto the bed.
"Yes." I say sternly without even looking at him. I was more focused on hurrying up and actually making it to the airport before the next flight out.
He follows my every step as I pace the room in a rush. Not the best way to handle this, but I had other things on my mind.
"For Fucks sake's Hayley stop!" he grasps my arm and forces me to stop and look up at him.
"Let me go." I rip my arm from his grasp only to have him sigh.
"I don't want you to go."
"It's not your decision to make." I pack two pairs of converses and was finally able to zip up my luggage. His eyes screams fury and I knew I was going to get this reaction from him. I take a deep breath. "Look, that guy in the other room can portray to have zero emotions all he wants, but deep down he's so scared. I'm going to accompany him because he's my friend and he asked me to go with him. Right now Josh," I shake my head, "is no time to start assuming shit. I'm going because he needs me and you are going to have to deal with the fact that I am allowed to have friends and I am allowed to be their shoulder to cry on. Regardless of how you feel. Now if when I come back you still have the need to fight about this, then we'll fight then. Right now I have a plane to catch and a friend to help out. Excuse me."
**
"Stop shaking you're making me more nervous than I already am." He says as he looks from the window and back to me.
"Sorry." I say shyly and sink further into my seat. "I just don't like flying."
"Then why did you agree on coming?" His eyes lock on mine.
"Because you needed me to." I smile softly only to get him to roll his eyes.
"I don't need you Hayley. I was just being polite."
"Sure." I go back to fiddling my feet and messing with the sleeves of my favorite hoodie. I knew this was annoying the crap out of him. But I seriously could not help it. I was a nervous wreck when it came to traveling. Funny how I plan on conquering the world yet fear the one thing that will get me there.
Suddenly he places his hand on mine and gives it a firm squeeze. I look at our hands confused and then back at him.
"Is it helping?" he asks genuinely. I nod softly. "Good." His lips turn into a sly smirk.
**
"Well this is my home." He unlocks the door and lets me in.
I step inside and wait for him to come in with our bags. I look to my right to see a gorgeous living area with two couches facing each other. A long hallway that leads to an opening of the kitchen. The stair way was spiral. In the middle of the entrance area, a huge crystal chandelier swung high. The dark room becomes bright as the lights go on. Exposing the elegance of the house.
