MondayDear Diary,
There's something comforting in routine repetition. Something comforting in going through the same, expected motions. Something comforting knowing there needs to be no innovation, no extra thinking.
Just follow through.
There's something very comforting in hearing the same tune everyday, taking the same route, walking the same distance. There's something comforting about routine repetition, to know you can fall on a safety net, to know there's something to come back to. To know there will always be something waiting for you. And this is why, I believe, that routine repetition lends false security, a blanket a teddy bear to in the insecure, who are afraid of the unknown. It wraps you in its warm arms in a snug hug and tells you it's always there, it will keep you safe that it is safe. And this is why, people never want to leave for something new where there is risk involved.
And this is why I hardly leave my comfort zone.
