Chapter 10

"Mom? Nick? anyone home!" I yelled as I closed the door behind me. No answer. All of a sudden sounded a crash from the kitchen, it sounded like the pots getting tossed on the ground, "what the?" I slowly walked towards the kitchen. It was empty only the pots where on the ground, my selfdefense magic began to rise making my fingers twitch slightly, I felt a presence behind me. I quickly turned around and while I did that I made a high kick, and hit the intruder right in the face. 'how did I do that?' well what ever, I am just happy I did it. "who are you, and how did you get into the house?!" I yelled, "SIS! relax it's me!" Nick yelled, his hand pressing against his cheek where I had kicked him. "OH MY GOD! I am so sorry Nick! But you kinda deserved it, for trying to scare me" I helped him up on one of the kitchen chairs, and went to the freezer getting a steak and handed it to him. "Ugh that's so gross" he whined. "HOW did you even kick like that? Do you go to karate or something!" He asked while pressing the steak to the sore spot on his cheek, which was quickly turning a dark shade of blue and purple.

"Honestly I don't even know myself... Reflex?" I shrugged, "yeah right" "how would I know? You startled me, it is a possibility" "well I won't do it again! You nearly kicked my head of" "sorry! Okay?" He made a sound that kinda sounded like Jasmina getting insulted. Then he walked into the living room and yelled "by the way, mom wants me to take you with me for practice" "what, why?" "Because you'll be home alone if I don't?" "I can just stay with grams" I walked into the living room, Nick was packing his sport gear. "Yeah I said the same to mom, but she is doing a late shift tonight she'll first get home around midnight, so she doesn't want to disturb grams" he explained as he threw his sports bag over his shoulder and turned towards me. "Why is it such a problem anyway? Do you have to be some where?" "what! NO I mean... when are we leaving?" I asked changing the subject, 'I can't talk about Elloris' "uhmm" he looked at his phone, "I guess we should be leaving now actually" "okay, then lets go" I quickly ran out of the main door. Nick locked the door, and when I reached the sidewalk I yelled "last one there is a rotten egg!" he walked up besides me and said "that's so childish, but i'm going to get there first, SLOWPOKE!" he ran past me, almost creating a wind. "HEY! No fair! You cheater" I yelled after him, and began running after him as fast that I could.

When we finally reached the school, Nick placed his hand on the fountain that was standing outside the school, he then yelled "AND I WIN AGAIN!" "only because you cheated" "I did not" he defended him self, and hugged me to his side and then proceeding to ruffle my hair. "Nick!" I pushed my self away from him and laughed as I brushed my hair with my fingers. We where interrupted by a very loud whistle and the coach's loud voice yelling "Nick Moon! stop doodling around and come to practice" "coming coach" he yelled back, we then walked towards the football fields. "Okay boys, give me five laps around the field... GO" he continued yelling instructions to the team, 'geez... Does he have to yell ALL the time?' I rubbed my ears as I thought of this, "my poor ears... I would much rather help grams with a troll potion... and there is some pretty disgusting stuff needed in that potion" I almost gagged just thinking about it. "Moon lift those knees higher! Reed what do you think this is? a kindergarten! put some muscles into it!" Coach continued to yell, making me sigh. All of a sudden I felt intense pain in my head, like someone was hammering and drilling into my mind, "argh" I pressed my hands to my head, trying to ease the pain but nothing was working, 'what's going on!?' closing my eyes and concentrating on getting rid of this weird and very painful headache. 

My vision blurred and a bright white light, blinded me for a second. When the light disappeared there was different scenes. 

The first scene or picture was of a crow with blood red eyes, it flapped it's wings and flew away from the rock it was sitting on. the scene shifted. 

Second thing that I saw was, the castle in Elloris being attacked, William and Aris where bruised and had cuts all over them, the battlecries and screams never stopped. Will stood with his sword firmly in front of him, and his back pressed against Aris's who stood with her spear, and kept swinging at anyone who got too close. The images shifted once again.

Third was of a land or kingdom, the ground was black as coal, no nature or life could be seen for miles, there where also small fires randomly appearing on any place that got to grassy or filled with even the slightest sign of life, a evil laughter filled my ears. It was the laughter that belonged to a woman, she had blood red hair, and a black dress that truly looked like something befitting the devil, she had also a matching black mask over her eyes. 

Who is she?! Why is she doing this... WHERE is Will and Ari. With that though I snapped back to reality, making me gasp after my breath, my left hand was still pressed at my head and my right was gripping tightly to the bench, my right hand was giving of magic,  it looked like a small light pink flame surrounded my hand, I also took notice of how I was shaking. 'That really scared me... What was that?' as I finished my thought I remembered what I saw, Will and Ari where in danger! I noticed my necklace was glowing, "I need to talk with grams. And it needs to be now!." 

I took my bag and ran of to grams. "Hey Melissa! where are you going?" I heard Nick yell, "Don't worry I'll be back in like a second" I knew that was a lie, I after talking with grams I have to visit them and make sure they are alright. 

I knoced on the door, kinda panicking, "GRAMS?! Hellooo open up!" I kept knocking on the door til she finally opened. "Relax child, what is the matter?" "there is some freaky stuff going on with my magic and I need you to tell what the hell it is" "okay, come in dear" she stepped aside so that I could get past her, just before closing the door she checked if anyone had followed me, then quickly closing and locking the door. "Okay dear what happened?" She asked me and sat down on the sofa chair, I sat down on the sofa and took a deep breath. I can still feel my magic boil, it's like my blood is rushing even faster, to the point where it almost hurts. "Okay so I was at practice with Nick, when all of a sudden I got this extreme headache, then I could see these images kinda, it was a bit blurry but it felt like I was watching a movie" I quickly explained, she just stared at me with a first suprised look then it turned into pride and then it shifted into concern and worry, "okay if you're finished with playing charades, I would like to know what the heck is going on?!" "right, the best explanation I have is that you're powers are growing, and that is called a vision" "wait what? A vision like seeing into the future? I thought that was an extremely rare power that only got passed down through bloodline" "and it has because your father had that ability to, just like me... How else do you suppose I always know everything?" she joked.

"Now more important, what did you see" "I saw three different things. A crow, Will and Ari in trouble, And I suppose the last one was Coralina" "oh my" "what?"

Grams quickly sat up and held my hands. "You must travel to Elloris and make sure Will and Ari are safe" I nodded sure of what was needed. And like that I headed towards the tree.
