My Boyfriend's(?) Roommate

Chapter 11: A Joe sugg kind of date

We had been walking for about 5 minutes in silence when I asked.

"Umm.. Joe I hate to interrupt, but where are we going?"

"I don't actually know, but I'll figure it out!"

I winced at the tone of his voice, it sounded like he was still fuming and he was taking it out on me. I think Joe could feel when I jerked back slightly.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to take it out on you. I'm just so mad."

"I get it. That was a bit embarrassing, I mean the whole restaurant heard."

"You heard as well? Everything?"

He wore an expression of guilt, I felt bad for him.

"Yes, but it's okay. I kind of guessed you lied, your story wasn't very good." I teased

He smiled "I am sorry, really. If I had known you were Zoe's roommate I wouldn't have done that."

"You wouldn't have approached me?" I said sounding a bit more disappointed than I was intended.

"Knowing me, I probably would have, I can't stay away from the pretty girls." He flashed a cheeky grin

I giggled, he really was good. Even after everything he had done, he could still make me giggle like a little girl. I wasn't meant to like him right? Or was I? I know I'm meant to get over Caspar, so is the way to do it find a new love to help me forget the old one? Well if it was that easy, I would have already done it.

"What do you want to do? I don't really do dates to be honest."

That made me feel a bit happy

"How about we go for that dinner?"

He smiled "sure."

We headed to a Burger King and picked up a burger each, of course he paid, and then we headed towards the park. All this time Joe hadn't let go of my hand once, and honestly it felt quite nice, almost natural. It was easy to follow Joe and let him lead me around.

We sat down on a park bench and dug into our burgers. I hadn't eat all night. I couldn't stop myself from devouring the burger and I didn't even realize it until I turned my head to see Joe crunched up in a ball and his shoulders shaking.

"Joe is something wrong?"

He burst out laughing.

"What!?"

"Ahahahaha! Haha sorry I didn't mean to laugh, it's just, hahaha, I've never seen a girl eat like that before!"

I blushed, I didn't know I was eating weird! But did he really have to laugh at me!?

"You didn't have to laugh at me so much!"

I crossed my arms and turned away from Joe.

He laughed again, "Sorry I didn't mean to, you're just a very special lady."

He made me blush again and I looked down at my feet. That was until Joe grabbed my chin and gently turned my head to face his. Then using his thumb he wiped a small piece bit of burger away from the corner of my lip. Now his face was very close to mine. Lightly he touched my lip, but the feeling was soon replaced by the feel of his lips. Joe kissed me.
