Last Time

Claire POV

Ciel thrusts the letter in Sebastian's face. He explains the mission, and sends Sebastian on his way. Ciel then turns his attention to me.

Present Claire POV

"So, Claire, Mey-Rin tells me that you miss your cousins. Would you tell me about them?"

"Certainly! Calaena (pronounced like Selena (this is my friend's OC she made up the name)) is fourteen, and we are very close. She's the youngest and most shy (shyest?) of us three. She is very soft-spoken, gentle, quiet, kind, and modest. Rose on the other hand..."

"Yes?"

"Rose (Rose is my friend MsMystery13's OC) is the eldest at seventeen. She is quite...modern. Yes, that's the word, modern. She always says what is on her mind. Rose is very intelligent. She has studied American and English Literature at Cheltenham Ladies College. (I looked up Victorian women's colleges and apparently this is or was a real place) She is also a tutor for many nobles such as ourselves. Rose is quite daring. She has been known to wear pants! (Note most likely no woman in this era would wear pants. However this is important to the story so just go with it)"

"Really?!"

"Yes! I myself have seen them!"

"Tell me what they look like, Claire"

"Both of them are gorgeous. They both have long, blonde hair. Calaena's has a reddish tint whereas Rose's hair is so blonde that it is almost white. Their eyes are a piercing ice blue. Both girls are tall, Calaena is about your height , Ciel. Rose is about half a foot shorter than Sebastian. They have the same thin, elegant figure that most women wear a corset to achieve."

Ciel offers to take time out of his busy schedule to have tea with us, once he closes this case. I am so excited I can barely stand it. I haven't seen my dear cousins in what seems like ages!

Ciel POV (OMG the first POV switch in the whole series!!!)

'Claire is very excited.' I think to myself.

I take a sip of my tea and scrunch my nose. I loathe chai tea, but it is Claire's favorite, so I put up with it. I glance up to see Sebastian walking toward us. As he gets closer, the bruises, cuts, and scrapes that cover his body become more visible.

"Oh my goodness! Sebastian, are you alright? What happened?" Claire asks him with worry evident in her voice and on her face.

"I am alright, my Lady. However, I am still trying to figure out what happened." Sebastian replies, with his trademark smile plastered on his face. I know him too well to believe it though. I know he is utterly exhausted.

"Sebastian,"

"Yes, my Lord?"

"Did you discover anything on you 'trip'?"

"No, my Lord. I regret to say that some... circumstances... prevented me from finding any evidence. Would you like me to go back?"

I glimpse over at Sebastian with a devilish smirk planted on my face, and say, "Sebastian, that will not necessary, at least, not right now. You look rather tired, and it is almost time for dinner anyway."

Sebastian bows and walks to the kitchen. He appears calm, but I know that he is rattled.
