"Oh!" She sighed. "Thanks goodness put me down."
"Wait, why you are up there?!"
"Nah, but why you're here? Why are you angry??"
"Nah" He puts Joan down. "Never go up the tree again! I'll go to my football practice want to watch?" He handed her bag.
"Sure."
We went to the oval. At our back were his brusque buddies that I saw with him last time. They were smiling and laughing at us.
Joan watched the football practice that she's watching last time, above a tree. She's so happy for Jack. She would smile every time Jack would give her a glance or a wink, and then the other players would laugh and smile.
Butterflies were starting to overcrowd her stomach. He's beautiful, so charming.
She saw Carla again, she's the cheerleader. Carla glared at her then smiled. Suddenly Jack came in front of her and kneeled. What?? Joan was confused. Why so fast? Is he asking to be her girlfriend?? Yes, she has a crush on him. Will she say yes?
"What are you doing?" she asked.
