Chapter 22:

‘’Niall, it’s Ok, it is not your fault, you didn’t know!’’ I said trying to calm him down but all he does is blame his self for what happened! It’s been four days since I was discharged out of hospital, this was the second time I was in that hospital in a short time, and it was getting annoying!

Something inside me was feeling sorry for Niall because I haven’t told him why that has happened, but on the other hand I felt that I didn’t want to share it because I didn’t want to reopen a wound that was still not fully recovered.

He was pacing back on fourth in my room while I sat on the bed looking at him. ‘’UGH! Niall for God sake’s stop it!’’ I said frustrated, ‘’How can I stop blaming myself when I almost killed my girlfriend?’’ he said.

‘’It’s my fault because I hadn’t told you and you didn’t know Ok so please, stop it’’ I told him and put my arm on his waist and pulled him to me. He sighed into my neck and hugged me.

‘’I’m so sorry babe’’ he said and stroked my cheek, ‘’it’s Ok’’ I said and sighed heavily. ‘’if you want to tell me what happened, tell me, but If you are not comfortable, it’s ok, I understand’’ he told me gently like he is afraid that his words were going to break me into a million pieces.

‘’no it’s ok, I’ll tell you’’ I told him. He sat behind me resting his back. I coughed and began.

‘’Me and Liam had another sister. She was bigger than me by just a few years. She adored us both, since Liam was the youngest he was like her baby, I was more like her best friend, and we would stay till the early hours talking about boy problems and fashion or the latest gossip.

She had a good job and money was not a problem, she would take me and Liam and mum both shopping, then, after mum and dad died in the accident, she was strong for both me and Liam, but we gave her a hard time, we fought a lot.

Spencer was a hard working girl, but she was unfortunate. Her past boyfriend was not loyal to her, and he used to beat her every day. Then she broke up with him, all this happened before mum and dad died. He was afraid of Dad because dad threatened him that if he contacts her again he will kill him.

But after their death, there was no one to get in the way of his plans, so he started stalking her and then suddenly one night, she goes out but never comes back.

I remember her telling me, ‘’I am going to the beach, I need to think about some stuff’’, ‘’can I come’’ I asked her but she didn’t reply, she just went out in a hurry. I didn’t bother to follow her because when she did that, she needed to be alone.

3 hours went by, she didn’t return, so I went to look for her. At the beach where she said was going to be, at the corner of my eye far beyond, on the rocks, I saw a figure of a man, after a while, he was gone – vanished.

Later that day, she still didn’t return so I filed a ‘missing person’ case to the police. After 3 days, the telephone rang and a police man voice announced to me that they found a body on the shore near that bridge where mum and dad died, he wanted me to go down there to confirm the body if it was my sisters’. So me and Liam goes there and guess what, it was.

Losing so many people you love in such a short period of time was so much to take in for us. During the investigation about her death, we discovered that that night, she went out because she got a call from her ex-boyfriend, she wanted to tell him to stop stalking her and that she moved on.

He didn’t accept the fact that she had moved on from him so he beat her up to death and then as she was dying he drowned her.

That sick bastard, If I see him today, I swear I’ll kill him. So then from that onwards, Liam went on X Factor, got with you guys and left me after he said he wouldn’t and I left to LA to begin a new page and then from there onwards you know what happened.’’

‘’Emily, oh my God, I am so sorry! I had no idea!’’ Niall said sheepishly, I was watching the skies from the window, he wrapped his arms around me and spun me around to face him, and he wiped some fresh tears with his thumb and hugged me tightly.
