Chapter 24

‘’what the hell!’’ I said as I hung up. ‘’Who was it?’’ Liam asked, ‘’I don’t know’’ I shrugged ‘’well, what did he want?’’ this time Louis asked, ‘’he said he wanted $50,000 in 3 days or else you all die’’ I said shocked when I processed that.

Everyone tensed up. ‘’What does he want that amount of money for!’’ Harry exclaimed, ‘’I don’t know and I don’t care, I am going to get that money, I am not going to let somebody get hurt because of me’’ I told them determined. They protected me and now it was my time that I did something for them, I already lost some of my loved ones and I was not ready to lose more. No freaking way.

I went to the bank and cashed some money, I already had some in my hands but I had to get more. Still it wasn’t enough. I went back home because it was getting late.

‘’what are you going to do?’’ Niall asked me as he turned around. We were in bed trying to sleep but I couldn’t sleep. ‘’I don’t know, I still have to get more money’’ I told him, tears streaming down my face quietly, ‘’I could lend you the rest’’ he told me, ‘’no, I am not going to take any of your money because somebody decided to play me up’’ I told him, he turned me around to face him. ‘’listen to me, what is mine, is yours, you don’t know who you are dealing with, he may do something stupid if you don’t give him the amount he is asking for’’ he told me as he cupped my face, as right as he was, I still didn’t want his money. ‘’I don’t want you to get into this mess’’ I replied ‘’but’’ he said, ‘’no but’s’’ I told him, ‘’now let’s try and sleep, I am tired’’ I said and turned around, he held me securely and we slept.

*2 days after*

I still didn’t have the amount he asked for. Yesterday the unknown caller sent me a text saying that I had to deliver the money at the local mall, alone. I was afraid, but since it was the mall, he wouldn’t dare to try something in front of a lot of people… hopefully.

‘’do you have the money?’’ Zayn asked me, ‘’yes’’ I lied, ‘’do you want us to come with you?’’ Liam asked being the sensible brother, ‘’don’t dare! He wants to meet alone, and alone I shall meet him, I don’t want any of you to get hurt’’ I told them as we were gathered in the living room, somehow I was getting the feeling that this was the last time I was going to see them so before I left I hugged the all and kissed Niall, ‘’I love you guys’’ I told them before I left the house, a single tear slipped down my face and I quickly wiped it away.

Liam’s POV

‘’Let’s go guys’’ I told them and everyone piled up in the car, Louis drove, fast as he could to the mall. We all planned to go just in case she needed us, we would hide so she wouldn’t see us, we were not going to let something happen to her, I didn’t want to lose another sister.

Back to my POV

Time passed slowly, my heart was beating faster by each second. As noon ticked, nobody came, I was getting agitated, I wanted this to be over soon so they will continue with their lives with no problems.

Suddenly Niall appeared with a man behind him holding a gun against his head. ‘’ I thought I told you to come alone!’’ the man growled, I’ve seen this face before I thought, the pizza guy...! He was the same guy who gave me chills when he delivered the pizza! ‘’I did come alone! I told them to stay away from here’’ I told him ‘’leave him!’’ I shouted and ran towards the man but somebody held me from behind and the rest came showed too with a man holding them from behind.

‘’leave them alone, I’m the one you messed with, not them, they don’t have anything to do with this! Why did you even pick me! I never saw you before in my life’’ I desperately shouted, ‘’your father owned me money! He didn’t want to give them to money so I got rid of them easily, I wanted revenge on his family, starting by them, continuing with your sister and ending with you!’’ he sneered, ‘’you killed my sister and parents?’’ I asked in disbelief.

I could see Liam getting red with anger, ‘’your parents yes, but your sister not technically, I paid her ex-boyfriend to do the dirty job since he wanted to get revenge on her too’’ he said smiling proudly, ‘’you bastard!’’ ‘’no more talking or I pull the trigger, first on your pretty little boyfriend then on your friends’’ he said coldly, the gun was digging more into Niall, I had to do something.

I kicked the man who was holding me, in his ‘area’, he let go of me with pain so I ran for the man who was holding Niall. He aimed the gun at me and pulled the trigger and I went down cold on the floor.
