Chapter 4

Liam’s POV

She was there! After 3 years I see her again.. unexpectedly, I wished to talk to her again and be like we used to be but from the look she gave me, seemed that she didn’t or maybe she was shocked that she saw me again. ‘’what was that all about?’’ Zayn asked me when we were in the van driving away from the studio, ‘’what?’’ I asked waking up from my thoughts, ‘’what was that all about, why did you want to leave when that girl came out?’’ he said winking ‘’you like her!’’ Niall butted in, ‘’No!’’ I exclaimed  ‘’yes!’’ he said ‘’no’’ I continued to say the opposite but I didn’t like her because I couldn’t ! ‘’fine whatever, but I don’t blame you if you do, she’s hot’’ he said hoping back to his seat, ‘hey! That’s my .. it’s Emily your talking about’ I wanted to tell him but I kept my mouth shut. ‘’So Charlotte aye’’ I said to Harry so I switch the conversation and stop talking about her, Harry smiled cheekily and nodded, ‘’she’s beautiful’’ he said and everyone agreed, ‘’SHE’S MINE’’ Louis screamed into my face ‘’She’s not Mary, Lou, chill your beans, besides she likes me more’’ he winked ‘’oh yeah? No one can resist this’’ Louis said and pulled out a funny face and we bursted out laughing.

We were back at my house, Lottie was babbling on and on about the boys and how Harry was hot and how much she enjoyed it but I on the contrary was dead quiet, ‘’are you Ok Emily?’’ she asked, I nodded slightly, ‘’come on, tell me what’s wrong’’ she said, I thought for a moment and then inhaled deeply. I slumped down on the sofa and she came to sit next to me and waited for me to begin.

‘’Liam is my brother’’ I said, her eyes became wide open and a smile appeared, ‘’really? Oh my god, that’s awesome!’’ she said but I shook my head, ‘’it’s not like that’’ I said and her smile vanished ‘’we were a really close family, me and him were best friends apart from relatives, nothing could break our family, happiness was filled in our home and I loved every minute I spent there. In 2008 Liam auditioned for the X factor as I think you already know but he was eliminated at the judge’s house, he was devastated we all were but as time went by he became his normal self, one night in December 2009 our parents went out to celebrate their anniversary, me and Liam stayed home, we were watching a movie and throwing popcorn at each other when suddenly the door knocks, at first we didn’t want to open it but then we heard a man talking from behind it saying he was a policeman , my heart stopped when I heard it was the police,

Liam went to open and a policeman around 30s came in, I asked him what’s wrong and he said that we have to sit down first, at that moment I knew something terrible has happened and tears were already threatening to spill, then the policeman said the words that I was dreading to hear, ‘’your parents were in an accident and I’m sorry to say this but neither of them survived’’ I collapsed on the floor crying and Liam hugged me and didn’t let me go, they were found drowned with the car in the lake not far from home, after that our aunt took us in but it wasn’t the same, every time I passed from that lake I look at it like it’s something that shouldn’t be there because it took my parents, me and Liam started fighting a lot and in 2010 he applied for the X Factor and you know from that onwards what happened, I never talked to him again because he promised he won’t leave me alone and he did, he wasn’t like that, he became a whole different person after our parents died and now, here he is and I don’t know what to do!’’ I finished saying, I was staring at my hands the whole explanation and didn’t notice that I was crying and when I looked up Lottie was crying too, I hugged her, ‘’I’m so sorry’’ she said, ‘’shh, don’t cry, what’s done it’s done, we can’t change the best, we have to hope for a better future’’ I told her.
