Iz POV

The next morning...

"You up?"

I text Cristina as I pull on my yoga shorts.

"Yeah, Almost ready. I'll drive over."

"Ok." I text back.

I pull on my green tank and pull my hair up to the side in a bun. I take my notebook out of my bag and tare a sheet of paper out of it.

Hanging out with Cristina, see you later at the beach. Love you, Izzie

I fold the sheet in half and write "Bruno" on it. I put it on his side table and look at him. He lays still in his white tee and grey sweat shorts. The crucifix around his neck rises and falls with each breath, the calm look on his face is so soothing, I almost don't want to leave but I have to spend some time with Cristina before next week when things get busy at Gordito's. I lean close and kiss him on the forehead, he shifts a little but stays asleep.

I slip on my running shoes, grab my bag head out and make sure the front door of Presley's house is locked before I walk down to the beach. I feel eyes on me, I slow my pace and listen closely. I look straight ahead. seconds pass, I hear nothing. I slowly turn and look behind me. No one is there. In the distance I see Cristina running towards me. Am I hearing things?

"Hey!" Cristina yells as she jogs over to me.

"Hey!" We hug and find a comfortable spot to roll out our mats and put our stuff down.

"What happen to us hanging out yesterday? You didn't text me!" she says as she sits down and starts doing some sit-ups. I start my set.

"Bruno wanted to," I take a few breath in between and then continue. "Stop by a corner store to say "hi" to an old friend. And when we got to Presley's she said that Bernie was inviting the family over for dinner and said that we should come to surprise her."

She stops and turns to me.

"How was the food?" she rises and eyebrow and starts to smile.

"Amazing." I say as I turn to start my side sit-ups. We continue working out going though an exercise  for every part of our bodies once we've had a few sips of water we head our separate ways to shower.

- Early Afternoon-

"Ooh I love your hair!" Cristina walks around me examining the braid that cascades across my scalp from my forehead to the top of my head. then then my hair ends in a neat bun.

"Thanks! Presley, did it."

"I like it." Cristina smiles and we start walking to her rental. We drive to up to town and leave the car parked so that we can shop. I light breeze blows past us, tossing strands of our hair into our faces. I inhale deeply and close my eyes for a second. It's so beautiful here; the salt in the air, the sweetness of wild hibiscus flowers and the warmth of the sun shining down on us. Hawaii is so beautiful, Bruno and his family are so lucky to live here...

"Let's go in there." She points so a small wooden storefront with sundresses hanging in the windows. I blink out of my daydream and follow her in.

"Good afternoon."  An older woman with long wavy black hair says as she walks out from behind the counter, towards us.

"What can I help you ladies with?" she smiles sweetly.

"We're just look-," I start to say

"Can we see a few of those strapless sundresses in the window." Cristina points to a couple of colorful dresses.
