Iz POV
I wake to "Good morning, good morning love," John Legend's warm, sweet tone kissing my ears as the melody gently shakes me awake. I grab the phone and with my eyes closed, unlock it and shut down the alarm. Before I can put the phone down it starts to ring and I answer.
"Happy Birthday 25th Izziah!" I hear my parent's voices.
"Thank you!!" I squeal into the receiver.
"There's something in the mail for you." My dad says. "Let us know when you get it."
"Enjoy your day honey!" my mom adds. "We're going to let you go, you probably have things planned."
"I'm not sure but bye! Talk to you later!" I hang up the phone. Again it rings.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, dear Izzie,
happy birthday to you!
"Happy birthday Izzie." He whispers.
"I love you." I say without thinking.
"I love you too baby," he shifts in the background. "So," he pauses, " I heard, that you're hangin' out with your girls today so, have fun and come by later; I have something for you."
"I can come get it now," I start excitedly.
"No, no, go hang with your girls I'll be around later. Have fun!" I can almost hear him smiling.
"Fine," I laugh. "At least tell me what you have for me."
"Nope! You're just going to have to wait and see!"
"Aw Bruno come on that's not fair!" I whine.
"It is so fair; it's supposed to be a surprise. I love you, see you later."
He hangs up the phone, before I can protest my phone rings again. Boy am I popular today. I smirk. I guess it's what a birthday does for you.
"Happy Birthday Izzie!" Michael's voice comes through the line.
"Thanks Michael!"
"You're very welcome! Enjoy your birthday, don't do anything TOO crazy ok?" he chuckles.
"You know me, I'm such a party animal." I say sarcastically, laughing. "You know I won't."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah I know. Hey, enjoy your special day alright?"
"Of course!"
"Tomorrow I'll stop bye, I have something for you."
