Iz POV

I stand in front of the full-body in the right corner of the room next to the dresser. I look over my outfit and hair for the third time to make sure everything is in place. It's not the first time that I'm meeting his family but I want to look good anyway...It's something I pride myself in. I turn to the side and look at my black sandal wedges, my black shorts, black tank and sheer white halter top with black feathers on it. I make sure I have earrings in and check my straightened black hair that I've dyed brown at the tips. Again I move my bangs from my eyes. I glance over at Bruno who is standing out on the deck looking at the reflection of the moon on the ocean as the tide sweeps in and out. He seems to be humming something as he drums along with his fingers on the railing. I don't know what it is. I turn back to the mirror and turn my other side to it. He walks over.

"Izzie," he says in a whiny voice as he leans down to rest his head on my left shoulder. I feel heat rush to my cheeks, I don't know why that gets me every time, it only happens when he calls my by my nickname. When it comes from other people is don't have the same affect. "You changed again?" he asks leaning his head closer as he looks into the mirror with me.

"Yeah..."I say allowing my voice to trail off. I comb my bangs out of my face again watching him from the mirror. "I just like to look good." I continue.

"Well," He  says as she stand up straight and slides his arm around my waist. I feel the warmth of his hand through my tank. "I already thought you we're beautiful in what you were wearing."

"Thanks." I blush even more and I know there is no way that he won't notice. I look over his black wide brimmed fedora, navy short sleeve button down shirt with black trim, his black khakis, his navy Sperry's and his gold crucifix chain that hangs out of his shirt. On his left hand are his three rings; his father's wedding band on his ring finger, a ring with a large black stone on his index and a plain band ring on his pinky.

He tilts his fedora forward then he looks and turns to me so that we are facing each other. He holds my waist with both hands and we are arms width apart. He stares into my eyes, a slight smirk playing at the corners of his mouth but he isn't smiling yet. I know this game; I stare back at him putting on my poker-face. The corner of his mouth twitches as he fights the urge to smile. His smirking makes me want to laugh and I can't hold my straight face any longer. I burst out laughing and he smiles full on, dimples and straight white teeth in full view. He lets go of my and pulls his fist down as he lifts his leg.

"Yes! I win again!" he exclaims backing up as he laughs.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah let's go." I say though I know it was totally fair and he won. We leave.

At The Hernandez Home...

Bruno pulls the rental into the driveway and we step out of the car. A warm breeze blows past us, and my bangs fly into my face. I move them away and we continue to walk. When we are mere feet from the door, the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. I stop abruptly.

"Something wrong Iz?" Bruno asks me stopping next to me.

I look at him and put my index finger to my lips. He becomes quiet, still. My ears perk up and I listen. I hear something rustle in the bushes, the wind blows again. Just then, I feel eyes, like we're being watched. The feeling gets stronger and I hear the bushes rustle again. I try to listen closer but another breeze blows, making it hard for me to hear any slight noises.  When the wind stops I hear nothing. Bruno looks at me. "I thought I heard something, but I guess it was nothing." I say.

"I heard it too, but I must have been an animal or something." He says before the two of us start walking to the door again. When we reach it we can hear commotion going on inside, children, dogs and music playing. Tiara, Tahiti and Jamie must be over with their kids. Bruno rings the door bell. The noise quiets down a little and then picks up as I we hear multiple sets of footsteps racing the the door.. I smirk and Bruno laughs.
