It was a beautiful Sunday morning. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, and for that the kingdom glittered in its rays. The night before the morning it had rained just ever so slightly. So now everything glittered in dew and droplets. Especially the old willow tree just outside the garden. It looked as if the tree was made of hanging crystals and the grass below it like a field of endless emerald. Just beyond the shimmering painting that is set in your mind. Right under the crystal like willow. Sat the jewel of the kingdom and his handsome tutor. Young Feliciano lay with his head rested against the strong Germans shoulder as he listened to the deep accent read to him.

Now you may think this chapter is about these two. Since I have created the scene and showed you the actors. However you maybe wrong. No, this one story is about a young Matthew Williams. Who just so happened to be in the castle leaning against the window ledge seeing exactly what you see. You see while Matthew had been at the castle he has had time to observe the residence. He was surprised to find that the way they acted was not unlike something he felt and saw everyday. So let us see, what Matthew sees. Let us here what he is thinking, and see from his point of view:

I had seen this picture before. But from a different angel? Yes, I remember now. Gilbert and I use to read to each other like that when we were young. I wonder though, is this the same as that? Should I ask? No, that would be rude I think. But I do wonder. I heard footsteps behind me and turned my head slightly. I got a slight glimpse of Snow White hair. Gil was trying to scare me. I didn't want to ruin his fun so instead I kept looking out the window. Gilbert's had grabbed my waste and he let out a rawr like sound. I was unfazed but I still screached a bit and turned around with wide eyes.

"I got you!" Gil said excited.

I smiled and laughed lightly. "I didn't even hear you!" I said happily.

I know it must sound kinda mean. Im sorry to do that, but I love Gil, and I want him to be able to have fun. If scaring me is the way he wants to do it then that's okay with me! I mean I don't mind.

"What are you doing up here?" He asked.

I pointed outside at his brother and feliciano hoping he would understand what I was seeing.

"Those two sure are close." Gilbert pointed.

"How close do you think?" I wondered.

"Well there isn't a space between them." He smiled.

I looked up at him a bit taken back at what he said. At first I thought he was being silly and literal as he usually would. But his smile showed another story. His red eyes were soft and I could see sincerity. I looked back out to see the two under the tree again and I agreed.

"Well I'm outta here." Gil announced.

"Where are you going."

I asked but he was already walking away.

"To go bug Ludi!" He called.

I reached out to him to tell him not to but he was already gone. I guess that was just Gil though. I sighed and decided to go for a stroll. I walked down the stairs to the main entrance only to stop when I saw Lovino chasing after Antonio. Antonio held up a long slender sword with jewels on the hilt. I think he was keeping it away from the little Italian because Lovino kept jumping for it.

"Come on Toni! I'm old enough! Teach me!" Lovino cried.

I'm sure Lovino was old enough but when I thought about it even if Antonio taught him he wouldn't have a sparring partner. I was okay with Gil cause we were around the same age and height at the time. I couldn't see feliciano picking up a sword anytime soon either. But then I saw something interesting. In Antonio's eyes it wasn't sternness but fear. I'm sure of it. He looked afraid to teach the boy. I think he was afraid he'd get hurt. My eyes widened to the thought. Antonio loved the boy. That was love I saw. I couldn't tell what kind of love though. It was fatherly and yet friendly. It confused me, yet inspired me. When I first got here everyone seemed kind of hostile. But now I realize they all really care about each other. I was lucky enough to see all the amazing things these boys did. Like when Ludwig taught Feliciano to play piano. Antonio let Lovino beet him in hand to hand combat. Every night feliciano snuck into bed with Ludwig. Or even the nights Lovino would have nightmares, wake up screaming and Antonio would run to his side. I've seen it all. That's why I think I'm lucky.

I saw Gilbert bust threw the front doors startling the other two boys. He looked up at me with eyes like an excited puppy. I smiled widely. He ran up to me, I met him halfway and he hugged me suddenly. He picked me up and started to carry me upstairs. And I realized, yeah, I really am lucky.
