Harry's P.O.V

Everything was moving in slow motion.
One second, I was shouting at my father, the next my vision was on the family picture that was hung up again after I had thrown it a few weeks prior.
I heard multiple gasps around me and when I was able to turn my head again, my mother was stood in front of me, her vision transfixed on mine.
It was only when I realised what had happened when I collapsed into my mothers arms, sobbing uncontrollably and I felt her hands running up and down my back soothingly as she held me tightly.

I wasn't sure if anyone was talking or moving, all I was aware of was, that my mum was there for me and that I wouldn't have to worry as long as I had her by my side.
My vision snapped up when I saw someone step in front of me and my eyes met Luna's who had silent tears streaming down her face.
I extended my hand towards her and she quickly grasped it, intertwining our fingers.
I whimpered lightly as my mother pulled away and Luna grabbed my arm, helping me to shrug on my coat before leading me ouside, an arm secured around my waist.

I must've fallen asleep in the car because I was shaken lightly before my sight fell on my beautiful girl. She looked so gorgeous and was my source of warmth and light in the harsh, dark night.
"C'mon, we need to get you inside. I'll get you something to drink and the we'll get you a good ounce of sleep.", I just nodded weakly at her words, still not fully processing what had happened not too long ago.

Inside, my coat was taken off, before I pulled off my shoes and was led to the sofa.
"I can get something to drink by myself, you know?", I asked Luna as she threw a blanket over my legs.
"Let yourself be treated for once, okay? I want you to relax and not worry about anything for once.", she reassured me as she tucked a loose strand away from my face.
I just nodded and thanked her before I diverted my gaze to Nash who was sitting in the armchair that was pushed to the far wall.

"I'm really sorry.", he muttered, looking at the floor, nervously playing with his fingers.
"How is any of this your fault?", I asked, starring at the younger boy as though he had grown two heads.
"If I would've declined your offer, we would've stayed home and none of this would have happened.", Nash answered, a quilty expression written all over his face.
"Don't even think about it. Des simply is a sick and twisted man. In no way was this your fault, alright champ?", I asked, not realising I'd used the nickname my father used to give me.
"Champ?", he asked, grinning at me.
"If you don't want me to call you that I'll..."
"No it's fine.", he interrupted. "I actually quite like it.", he nodded almost to himself.
"Nash you should go and get some sleep. You won't be getting a lot since we'll be at Sophia's tomorrow and you'll probably want to stay up right?", Luna interrupted as she came back from the kitchen, a glass of water grasped tightly in her left hand, while the other carried a bowl with crisps in them.
"Yeah alright. Thanks Harry. I'll see you tomorrow. Night!", he dashed up the stairs after he'd kissed Luna's cheek.
"Well that went surprisingly well.", she chuckled before stting both of the items down onto the surface of the coffee table in front of me.

"Luna did you...oh hello Harry.", Darren looked a bit confused to me still being here as he ruffled through his dirty blonde hair, clearly just coming out of the shower, judging by the towel wich was wrapped around his waist loosely.
"I just wanted to ask you, if you'd seen my grey sweatpants, Luna?", he asked and for the first time since meeting Darren, I saw him somewhat flustered.
Luna just pointed to the armrest of the couch, making both of us look there, seeing the grey fabric perched over it.
"Ah thanks, sissy.", he grinned and quickly went to change before rejoining us.
"So, I don't mean to be rude, but why are you still here?", his grey eyes focused on me.
"Harry needs to stay the night. He can't go home.", Luna answered for me, crossing her arms over her chest, as if preparing to put up a fight with her brother.
"Why?"
"He just can't.", Luna looked at him, then diverted her gaze to my left cheek wich probably still held the angry red handprint of my father.
"Oh, right. I'll be up in our room. I still need to arrange some things with Sophia.", he excused himself and left the two of us in silence.

"So Sophia is throwing a party huh?", I asked, trying to break the silence.
It wasn't uncomfortable, I just wanted to get her mind off the prior events, trying to erase the frown, seemingly edged to Luna's features for a while now.
"Yeah, with Liam. It's rather like a little get together though. Nothing huge. Haven't you been invited?", she asked, twirling a strand of her brunette hair between her delicate fingers.
"Oh I have. I just intended on spending new years eve with my family...'til now at least.", I shrugged, the events suddenly weighing down on me.
"Well, now you're joining us.", Luna all but ordered, lifting my spirits instantly.
I smiled at her, dimples clearly visible as they dented my cheeks.
Luna leaned forward, grasping the remote and turning on the televison.
A few minutes into whatever movie we were watching, she snuggled up to me, resting her head on my chest as we both lay on the couch, blanket drapped over us as my hand wrapped around her smaller one.

And as I looked down on the beautiful girl only one thought occured my mind.

I could definitly get used to this.

A/N: Phew, haven't updated in a while eh? *nervously glances around*. Hope you enjoy the chapter!

All the love, Mel x.
