Lies

Harry's P.O.V.

I said goodbye to Luna after my little visit, getting out of the shop and back to my car.

Why would she lie to me?

Even though I knew she wouldn't have any intention to hurt me, I felt angry and disappointed. I thought she'd trust me and finally let me in, yet here she was, keeping something from me again.

Shaking my head I got into the SUV and started the engine, driving off to my father's company.

As I had parked in the spot already reserved for me, I slowly got out, immidiately intimidated by the huge building in the middle of London.

Styles Enterprises Holdings Inc. was written in bold black letters over the front of the building and I decided not to waste any more time on starring, getting straight into the building.
I had to ring since I didn't have one of the key cards the employees owned to get into the building.

"Styles Enterprises Holdings Inc., this is Aurelia Smith speaking.", a voice I knew all too well rang from the speaker.
"No need to be so formal Ella! Just open the god damn door!", I scolded her jokingly.
I've known Aurelia since I was four and she was sixteen.
Back then I had a hard time pronouncing her name so I just called her Ella and that kind of stuck.
"Haz, get up here!", she laughed, opening the door with a buzz.

Inside a few people greeted me, some too shy to talk to the son of their boss.
I got into the elevator and went to the top floor, Aurelia already stood in front of the opening doors, my usual soda clasped in her hand.
"Ella! It's good to see you again!", I hugged her tightly, careful not to spill the sparkling liquid in the glass.
"It's good to see you too.", she chuckled, handing me the glass.
"You're father is in a meeting, if you'd just take a seat while you wait?", she asked, turning a bit more formal.
"Oh, sure.", I sat down on the black leather couch, setting the soda on the table in front of me.
"Cookie?", she asked, putting a plate of tripple chocolate chip cookies in front of me.
"Oh god. I haven't had those in ages!", I exclaimed, taking one and biting into it, moaning at the amazing taste of white, dark and milkchocolate.
"You have no idea how much I adore you for those."
"Oh Harry, I think I do.", she smirked before taking a seat behind her desk again.

"Well then, thank you for your time Mr. Styles. I hope you'll think about our offer.", I heard a gruff voice speak before two men I hadn't seen before, dashed out of my father's office, angry looks on their faces.

"I'll tell him you're here.", Aurelia spoke, already putting the telephone to her ear.
"Mr. Styles? Your son is here to see you."
"Yes sir, I will.", she nodded, even though he couldn't see her before hanging up.
"Your're good to go.", she smiled, and I gave her one in return, keeping my mouth shut in order to hide my mouth full of cookies.

"Hello Harry. Take a seat.", my father's deep voice requested from where he was still starring out of the window, overlooking London.
"Did you need anything?"
"Yes indeed.", I decided to talk just as formal as he did, killing his fake politeness with mine.
"So? What is it?"
"What did you do in the bookshop today?", I came straight to the point, not wasting time.
"I'm afraid that's none of your business.", he shrugged, finally taking a seat at his desk.
"Oh, I'm afraid it is. Luna's my girlfriend after all and obviously I know she works there just like you do. So stop playing and tell the truth.", I stood up, my hands shooting to my hair, racking them through the brown locks.
"It's nothing you need to worry about."
"Dad! Please! I'm begging you! For once, be the man you claim to be and tell the truth!", by now I'd lost any patience I had with him, just desperate for him to, at least, be honest with me.
"Alright! Alright. I offered her something."
"And what?"
"Well....."

Luna's P.O.V.

"So, when did you plan on telling me about that offer?"

My heart just about stopped at the casual tone Harry's voice held.

How did he find out?
There's no way that he just knew.
He must've gotten it out of his father somehow.

"What? What do you mean?", I questioned, chuckling akwardly, acting as though I didn't have a clue what he was talking about.
"You know exactly what I mean Luna!", Harry snapped, nostrils flared, hands tightly gripping the steering wheel and turning his knuckles white as his jaw clenched, making it appear incredibly sharp.

The beautiful man by my side looked rather scary as his, usually so gorgeous, emerald eyes grew darker, his face set in a deep frown as the muscles in his biceps flexed.

"I just..", I flinched as his fist hit the wheel, his rage finally taking over.
"You just what?", Harry boomed as he started driving faster, more reckless, racing down the way to my home.
"I didn't want to anger you! I knew how hurt you'd be if you found out that your father would offer me something like that! Damn it, I just wanted to protect you!", I shouted, annoyed by his unnecessary tantrum.

He breathed in deeply and forced himself to drive slower as his grip on the steering wheel gradually loosened.
"I didn't mean to lie to you. I just wanted to make sure you were okay.", I mumbled as he had calmed down more.

I was thankful as colour began to come back to his knuckles and his jaw unclenched as his eyes regained their stunning emerald colour.

"I know. I'm not really angry at you. It's my father I'm angry at. For him to go behind my back and even think about offering something like that to you, it's like he wants to hurt me at all costs. Did you accept it?", Harry's gravely voice grew smaller with each and every word, leaving him to whisper the last four words, yet I caught them.

"Of course not! I would never do that to you! Not for all the money in the world!", I gushed, satisfied as his dimpled grin was directed at me.
"You mean that?"
"Of course. I love you and I want to be with you rather than get some money from a cruel man.", I replied sincerely.
"I love you.", Harry answered, chuckling as I leaned over the console to kiss his cheek.

"Would you like to come in?", I offered as we were stood in front of my house, still in Harry's vehicle, as I didn't want him to leave.
"I'd love to.", he agreed, as we both unbuckled our seatbelts before making our way up to my house.

Inside, I heard Darren shouting at someone over Amelia's desperate cries.
Harry and I shared a scared look before we both sprinted towards the sound.

I didn't know what to expect, but what I saw then was something that I never thought would happen.
