Luna's P.O.V.
It was the same routine.
Getting up, waking everyone else up, getting ready, cooking, going to work.
Only this time, my day seemed to be longer than any other. I was sorting out old or torn up books, putting the new ones in the right shelf and helped customers, being polite as always. Only this time it seemed to have no end.
I was currently putting some books into the right order when I felt a tap on my shoulder."How can I help you?", I asked automatically, turning around to be met with sparkling green eyes and a cheeky smile.
"You could take a quick break and eat this amazing Chinese food I brought with me.", his raspy voice reached my ears, his cheeks tinted in a light red from the cold.
A smile broke out on my face.
"Well I'd love to, but I'm in the middle of my shift.", I replied, shrugging, going back to sorting through the books.
"So? There are no people at the moment and I'm pretty sure that blonde guy int he front can handle the shop for thirty minutes.", he shot back.
"I don't know Harry.", I sighed, not liking the idea of leaving Niall to do all the work alone.
"Oh please Luna!", green eyes went big, plump, full lips forming a pout.
"C'mon Lu! Just go already! I'll be fine!", Niall shouted from another aisle.
"Alright...but no longer than thrity minutes!", I reculantly agreed.
Harry cheered in victory, smiling brightly, showing off his adorable dimples. I smiled lightly, shaking my head and putting my name tag on the counter, leading him into the staff room.Once we were seated, he took out two plates, a candle and the food.
"Wow you really went all out, didn't you Styles?", I asked, cheekily.
"Of course. Only the best for the amazing Luna Monroe!", he exclaimed.
I just shook my head and giggled a bit. He lit the blue candle, putting food on mine and his plate. We dug in and it was amazing.
"So how is your day so far?", he asked after swallowing his first bite.
"It's alright, just doesn't seem to end though. Yours?", I replied, forking up a few noodles.
"Fine, yeah. Yesterday was terrible though. My father made me go to this restaurant with that nightmare of a woman.", the curly haired lad opposite me huffed in annoyance."Hey, maybe she's nice! You just have to get to know her.", I stated seriously. With that, the corners of his plump lips started to twitch before he suddenly burst out laughing, his jade eyes shut and his mouth wide open, loud laughter ringing through the staff room, probably being heard in the library too.
His laugh brought a big smile to my face and I soon started laughing with him. He wiped his eyes and as we regained our breath as he looked at me and said,"Would you like to go for a walk when you've finished work?", his deep voice questioned.
I smiled slightly, nodding and touching his dimples when his face broke out in grin.
Walks just seemed to be our thing.
"Did I ever tell you that I love these?", I asked, vision still fixed on the indents in his cheeks.
"Now you did. Did I ever tell you that I love your eyes?", Harry asked, our ocean coloured visions meeting. I just shook my head, heat rushing to my face.
"Well I really do. Every time I look into them, it's like getting lost in those gorgeous, sparkling eyes and I just can't get enough of it. It's like a rush. My own personal drug.", he whispered, for only me to hear whilst leaning in. He held my gaze until his eyes fluttered shut, mine following suit. I could feel his fingers brushing my cheek lightly, his hot breath could be felt against my lips, before his plump lips were brushing against mine carefully."Luna do you know when the...oh.", Niall's voice rang through the staff room, making me and Harry jump and rushing to get away from each other, his warm hand vanishing from my face. I looked up to glare at my best friend, standing there with a box full of books, looking embarrassed.
"I'm sorry. I'll just leave.", the Irish lad stumbled over his words, quickly turning, leaving me and Harry in an awkward tension."So..uhm..", he awkwardly cleared his throat.
"I should really get back to work.", I rushed, standing up quickly, making the chair screech against the tiles of the floor. Harry nodded his head in agreement, getting up as well.
"Okay I'll...I'll uhm pick you up at four p.m. yeah?", I just nodded on acknowledgement, rushing out of the staff room, the brown haired lad following soon after, pushing the glass doors open and leaving after saying a final goodbye.
Groaning in annoyance, I sat down, putting my head in my hands, looking up when I heard shuffling. Niall.
He just smiled apologetically at me and I rolled my eyes, getting back to work.
