Luna's P.O.V.

"Hey Soph? Could you show me somewhere to put Amelia to bed? She's already asleep, I would just like for her to be somewhere calmer.", I asked, carrying my sleeping sister in my arms. It was almost 11 p.m. already and I was surprised she actually stayed awake until now.

"Yeah sure, just follow me.", Sophia turned, making her way down the hall to one of the guest rooms.
"Okay, here you go. Just make her comfortable.", I nodded and thanked her, carefully putting down the little girl, rearranging the pillows and blankets, making sure there was no way she could fall off.

"Luna?", I heard a weak voice just as I was about to leave.
My head snapped up to Lia who had one eye cracked open.
"What is it, Lia?", I asked gently.
"Can I say good night to Harry?", she questioned, voice cracking from the lack of use in the past minutes.
"Of course dear, just stay put, okay? I'll get him for you.", I agreed, making my way back to the living room.
"Harry? I hate to interrupt, but Amelia would like to say goodnight to you.", I informed, budging in on a conversation between him and David.
The green eyed man looked a bit surprised, he recovered quickly however, nodding at me after telling David they'd continue later.
"Did she say why?", his raspy voice sounded through the hall.
"No specific reason. Just told me to get you.", I shrugged, smiling gently when I saw his eyes light up.
"She likes you a lot you know?", I told him honestly, making him chuckle lightly.
"Yeah? Well I like her too.", he answered just as we arrived at the door.

Harry's P.O.V.

I opened the door, squinting a bit as my vision adjusted to the darkness engulfing the room.
"Hello, sweetheart.", I greeted the little girl huddled between several pillows and blankets.
"Hi, Harry.", she answered quietly, rubbing her light grey eyes.
"You wanted me to come and say goodnight?", a question I already knew the answer of.
She just nodded weakly, eyelids dropping every now and then.
"Could you stay until I fall asleep?", her small voice spoke up and I nodded, lying down next to the little girl.
"Harry?"
"Yes love?"
"Thank you.", she spoke, catching me by surprise.
"What for, darling?", I asked.
"For making Luna smile again.", Amelia mumbled before drifting into a deep, peaceful sleep in my arms.
I was mildly shocked at her statement, clearly not expecting the young girl to state such meaningful words.
"It's no problem at all, love. Really.", I mumbled before kissing her forehead, pulling the blanket over her sleeping figure. I slipped out of the room quietly, making sure not to disturb her in her peaceful slumber.
I turned the corner at the end of the hall, taking my place next to David again when Luna tapped on my shoulder.
"Thanks for staying with her.", the beautiful girl said.
"No worries Luna.", I reassured, taking a hold of her hand with my left one, grabbing my flute of champagne with my left.
"I'm really excited already! We bought more fireworks than usual, so it's gonna be rather colourful and loud.", the brunette girl, currently occupying Liam's lap, exclaimed.
"I know, Soph. You wouldn't shut up about it all day.", Lexi rolled her eyes from where she was sat on the black bean bag.
"Well I know someone who can't shut up at certain times, either.", Niall smirked, making his girlfriend gasp and hit his chest.
"Why would you say something like that now.", David pulled a grossed out face next to me, making the rest of us chuckle in amusement at the mild disgust he had made no attempt to hide whatsoever.

I turned back to David, wanting to continue our conversation.
"So, what did you say was your favourite Rolling Stones song?", I asked, starting of where we'd stopped earlier.
"Gimme shelter.", he answered without a second thought.
"Well, it's a good song, nothing tops Satisfaction though.", I countered, watching on how his eyes went wide. His jaw dropped, making me wonder how it hasn't touched the floor yet.
"No way! Gimme Shelter is the best song ever, no doubt in that.", the blue eyed boy shot back confidently, smirking lightly.
Soon we were engulfed in a heated conversation about how Gimme Shelter was most definitly outdone by Satisfaction, no one giving in until we were stopped by Darren.
"Alright listen here you nerds, I'm going out now with Nash to set up the fireworks, care to join David?", he asked, making him huff a bit at the interruption, but nod at the offer.
"Well then get your coat on, buddy. It's fucking freezing out there.", the older man grinned at David's surprised expression.
I had a feeling Darren didn't swear often, so I understood why he looked like that.
After David's departure, I looked around, not really knowing what to do now after we hadn't really found a resolution for our diagreement.
When I looked closer, I took notice of the absence of someone really important to me.
"Hey Eleanor, do you, by any chance, know where Luna is?", I asked her.
"Oh she went to the bathroom really quick, should be back any minute but we wanted to tell you something anyway.", suddenly all the attention was on me.

The chit chat had died down and quietness settled over the room.

"Uhm..okay?", I offered, not really sure what to say.
"We just wanted to let you know that it's not just Louis, Liam and Luna you can trust.", Perrie was the first one to speak up, her statement confusing me a bit.
"Yeah, you belong to our little group now. We're friends so you can trust us.", Lexi nodded.
"We have your back, mate.", Niall agreed, smiling at me.
I was stunned.
I had known these people mere hours, they barely knew anything about me, yet they offered me trust and someone to come to when I didn't know where else to go.
"Wow, I...", I was utterly speechless.
Never had anyone I didn't know offered me such comfort and made me feel loved with such few words.
I took a deep breath, trying to supress the grin, fighting its way onto my lips.
"Aw, bring it in guys!", Louis exclaimed, causing them all to laugh qietly, getting up before engulfing me in a warm group hug.

"Goodness, what did I miss?", everyone turned to, a clearly surprised, Luna who was standing in the doorway, a confused smile edged onto her features.
The group let go of me and I went towards her, hugging her tightly.
"Nothing important. Just some friendly bonding.", I whispered, grinning into her shoulder.

"Alright guys, everything's set up. Ten minutes 'til midnight, get your coats on.", Darren exclaimed from the door leading out into the backyard.
Soon everyone had gathered on the snow covered lawn, huddled close to each other, considering the cold weather.
I looked around and noticed Sophia and Liam handing out flutes filled with sparkling champagne.
"A minute left!", Louis exclaimed and I pulled Luna closer to me, hugging her tightly to my chest.
A while later everyone around us started to count down from ten, grinning and Niall who was a bit drunk, shouting the numbers louder than necessary.
When I took a look at the girl I was currently cuddling I noticed her already looking up at me. Her blue eyes sparkled as she grinned up at me. I felt her soft hands on my sides, gripping my jacket tightly as mine slowly made their way up to her cheeks.
My rough fingers stroked over the soft skin covering her cheeks and I inched forward, already craving the feeling of her plump lips against my own rougher ones.
And when everyone shouted out an enthusiastic "One", our lips finally met in a gentle, yet passionate kiss.
Luna's hands found my neck, tangling in the, already way too long hair there as my strong arms snaked around her waist and I picked her up lightly, grinning a bit as she softly tugged at my lower lip with her teeth.
I growled playfully and licked into her mouth when she gasped.
Our kiss got a bit heated and in that moment I knew that the fireworks her brothers had set up weren't the only ones going off.
