Harry's P.O.V.
"Is he dead?"
"No silly! He's breathing. But it's almost 2 p.m. now. I feel like we should wake him up and get him something to eat."
"Do you like it when you're woken up, Darren?"
"Okay, you got me there. Stay here okay, Amelia? I'm going to get your orange juice."
I slowly opened my eyes and sparkling grey ones were looking right back at me. There was barely a gap between her face and mine and I could see the smile forming on her face when she noticed me being awake.
"Told you he's not dead!", the little girl in front of me exclaimed, diverting her gaze to the kitchen before focusing on me again.
"Did you sleep well?", she asked and I noticed that she'd set her little elefant onto my stomach.
"I slept very well, thank you Amelia.", I smiled when she tucked a lock from my face, much like Luna had done yesterday.
"Good! Are you hungry? Luna made something before she left.", Amelia infromed me, looking up at me and waiting for my answer.
"I'm starving. But where did Luna go?", I asked the blonde girl, ruffling her hair slightly.
"Niall picked her up and they went to Sophia's house to prepare something for tonight.", the little girl informed me while tugging at my hand.
When I was up, she put ther tiny hand in mine and in comparison to hers, my hand was huge. She pulled me into the kitchen, after taking her elefant again.
"Oh you're awake. There is some toast left. Treat yourself. Take whatever you need from the fridge okay? I'll be upstairs. I need to finish something for work. Here's your juice, Amelia.", Darren said, before leaving the kitchen.
I had a feeling that he still hadn't quite warmed up to me, he was way nicer than the first few times I'd seen him though.
"Luna told me she'd be back by four and to take good care of you.", Amelia informed me as she sipped her juice.
"Well then I'll have to let you take care of me, huh princess?", I asked her and the blonde girl let out an excited squeal at the nickname and started rambling about how we'd have to play prince and princess later on and we'd have a tea party.
I just smiled at the enthusiastic little girl and gladly agreed to be her prince.
When I'd finished my toast, we went upstairs, walking past an open door.Inside were two beds, a carpeted floor and a dresser. Two small nightstands were next to the beds. Sitting on those beds were David and Nash, David looking through a magazine while his twin was typing away on his phone.
His back was turned to me, so I had a clear few of the cracked screen.
It clearly wasn't a new phone.
When I looked closer, I noticed multiple things that weren't okay in this house.
Quite a few cracks were on the walls, in some rooms the only source of light was a simple light bulb dangling of the ceiling.
The carpeted floors were partly ripped and those who were wooden had scratches and dents in them. Some of the frames lining the walls were cracked and damaged and a lot of thigs weren't up to nowadays standards.
The phones, the lightings and the heatings as well. The only television posessed by the family was really small and old, clearly nothing you'd buy these days.A wave of sadness hit me.
I never actually realized that their condition was that bad.
Luna always told me how she couldn't go somewhere on different occasions because she had to save the money.I never put much thought to it until now though.
Everything seemed to hit me like a ton of bricks.
Luna and Darren were working incredibly hard to provide for their siblings when they were supposed to live their own life.
It was Luna's dream to study photography but she couldn't, because she didn't have enough money and Darren got this incredibly important role basically forced upon him with no other option. I knew he'd do anything for his family and Luna was helping him even though he repeadiatly told her to tone it down a bit and I couldn't but admire both of them for taking such a huge responsibility on them.
