"Hey, blondie, you and Tia coming to the club tonight?" Harry asks throwing his arms around both girls pulling Ava a little closer than he did Tiara. He has also adopted the habit of using Ava's nick name for his long time friend, it was cute and fit her well.
This had became a habit of Harry's over the week. He would walk up and casually place his arm around both their shoulder like it was nothing, so far Ava would keep both her arms wrapped around the books she was carrying. Today though she thought she would be brave so she shifted her books to one arm and wrapped her free arm around Harry's waist, causing him to look down at her and smile and pull her even closer. She was so short compared to him her head barely reached his the bottom of his breast bone, but she didn't care it made her feel safe.
"What's happening at the club tonight?" Ava asks looking up at Harry.
"Karaoke night." Louis answered as he walked on the other side of Tia. "Plus my girlfriend will be in town this weekend. I want you to meet her. I think you guys will be great friends. Her name is Brittany." Louis smiles.
"Oh I didn't know you were dating anyone Lou. What school does she go to?" Ava asks looking around Harry and Tia so she could see him. By the smile on his face she could tell he cared for this girl a lot.
"She goes the a college in the next town over from here. She comes home every weekend to hear this guy sing." He says pointing to Harry. "And see me of course. We Skype every night too. She's only a 30 minute drive from here so sometimes I'll drive to see her in the middle of the week."
Ava smiles at the ways Louis face brightens as he talks about his girlfriend. "Well I can't wait to meet her, Lou. She sound great. So what time do we meet you tonight?" She asks.
"I can pick you up, unless you you're riding with Tia." Harry offers.
"Tia? Are we riding together?" Ava asks looking at her best friend.
"You are not." They hear behind them. They all glance back to see Kasey and Jess, two other friends in their group. "If you don't mind riding with Harry, Ava we need a ride tonight. My car is in the shop and I thought I could get Tia to give us a ride." Kasey smiles as they joins them.
"I don't mind at all, but I can always drive myself you know." Ava says.
"I'll pick you up." Harry says. "Fridays and Saturdays are our busiest nights, I'm sure the boss will appreciate the extra parking spaces."
Ava just nodded and smiled as they continued making their way to the cafeteria, she didn't even realize Harry had let his other arm drop from around Tiara so it was just the two of them walking down the hallway wrapped around each other like the cute couple the group wants them to be. And seems to be plotting on getting together. Neither, Harry or Ava, knew Kasey's story about her car being in the shop was a lie but the rest of the guys was in on it. It was their way of making sure Harry and Ava spent time together alone.
At the end of the day Harry walked Ava to her truck. "I'll pick you up around 5:30. I need to get there early so I get things set up, I hope you don't mind sitting around that long." Harry tells her.
"I don't mind at all." Ava says smiling. "I can even help if you don't mind telling me what needs to be done." She adds as she unlocks her door to her truck.
"Sounds good to me." Harry replies opening the door for her and kisses her cheek. "Text me your address and I'll see you in a while. Drive carefully." He tells Ava shutting the door and tapping it before walking to his own vehicle with a smile.
When Ava gets home she tell her aunt her plans for the night and let's her know Harry will be picking her up.
"I'm so glad you have made some friends here, Ava." Meg says hugging her niece. "And they seem like great kids too. Of course you're a good judge of character so I wasn't that worried." She adds.
