Finding Me

Chapter 25

The weekend was finally here and the group was excited. This would be their first out of town gig in a while and the first sence Ava had joined the band. Friday night all the girls had helped Anne and Meg prepare all the snack food they thought would be needed for the trip and made sure all the outfits Jess had pick out for the gig was loaded, while the guys loaded up all the band equipment and any other heavier item to be taken. With that all done they were now all sitting in the living room discussing what they were going to do the next day when they heard the front door open and shut. Robin looked around, and seeing everyone present, stood to find out who it was when Amy one of the workers from the Downunder entered the room.

"I'm sorry, I knocked, but I don't think anyone heard me." Amy said to Robin. "Jason asked me to come by here and give you guys this on my way to the club tonight. He said you would need it." She adds handing him a case with the hand free mics in it.

"Oh, great, thanks Amy." Robin says taking the case.

"Oh it's no problem. Good luck tomorrow guys, you're gonna be great as alway." Amy says with a wave then she left.

Harry frowned looking at the case in Robin's hand. "What do we need those for?" He asks.

"We've had them for a while but never used them. And I've been watching you guys closely sence I've cut back on my traveling. Harry when your not playing your guitar and just singing, you're all over the stage dancing around, interacting with the crowd. I just figured we could use these and you could do that while playing the guitar too. And Ava, hun, we've seen you dance. Anne and I would love to see you incorporate more of that into the shows and these would help with that. It's just a thought." Robin added.

"You know that's not a bad idea." Harry says. "Ava and I have been working on some stuff to do during our songs but it's hard to do while holding mics. We just might be able to accomplish them now wearing those. What do you think babe?" Harry asks Ava.

"I don't see why not. We have the moves down, we practice them enough, I don't see how wearing those will make much of a difference." Ava says.

"I happen to know they can sing while doing these dance moves." Zayn adds. "They were doing some the other day just to see if they would screw the song up by getting breathless." Zayn then turns and looks at Harry and Ava. "Why don't we put the mics on you now to make sure they stay in place during the routine, that way we can come up with something to keep them in place in case they decide to slip or something." He says opening the case.

"Good idea." Harry states as he and Ava stands to be fitted with the mics. It only took going though the routines a couple of time to realize that a couple of well placed bobby pins would do the trick and keep the mics where they need to be. And everyone was really impressed with how Harry and Ava moved together, it was almost as if two people were moving as one. There was some pretty complicated looking steps being done and they never missed a beat or stepped on the others foot. It was a sight to see.

"Wow!" Anne exclaims as she wiped a tear off her cheek. "That was amazing. You guys definitely have to add that to the shows and come up with more."

Ava nodded. "I don't know why we can't come up with something a little different for a few songs. I've already got a few ideas floating around for the song Endless Love, I just need time and the room to put it together."

Kasey jumps ups with a squeal. "I have the perfect place then." She tells everyone. "Jess you and Tia should remember when we were younger, we took dance lessons. Hell for 4 years we tortured our dance teacher. She was trying to teach us ballet and we kept adding in more contemporary moves. The school shut down 2 years after we quit going. Robin I think you may own the building, the beauty salon on Main Street, the dance studio in above it."
