Leyla's POV:
Everything was going so well, until me and Anthony saw something crash down on the picnic table. We were in the moment, and Anthony was about to say "Do you want to go to the dance with me on Friday?" But instead, he shouted, " What the heck was that?!"
I was worried for Caleb and Brandon, but come on! Whatever. We run over, thru the cloud of dust. All of a sudden, I run into something metal. Wait- something metal? When I look to see what I ran into, I find out its a giant metal rock. Which I don't think is "normal".
"Are you Ok?" asks Anthony. "Yeah, I just-" I get interrupted by the fake rock sliding open and showing a jem, actually in half. It's glowing blue and has the symbol of ... a water droplet. Ok, that's "normal" too.
"I'm going to touch it ..." says Anthony, "Wait" and as he's about to touch the jem, a bubble like thing forms around it. "Is that a forcefield?" I ask Anthony. "How would I know. Maybe if I touch the rock looking part-", and as soon as he touches it, another part slides open. Again, revealing a jem, broken in half. But it's different.
Instead of glowing, its releasing a sound, and the symbol is- what I'm guessing- sound. "Well, more jewels." says Anthony. "I want the blue one, it looks so much better, and isn't releasing an annoying sound." is what I say before touching the jem.

Anthony's POV:
Now I'm scared, Leyla just passed out in my arms, Caleb's going to kill me. "Leyla .... Leyla wake up!" She's still unconscious. When I look up to see what the jem did to her, but I couldn't see it. It vanished, gone, poof...
I set Leyla down on the ground, and walk over to the other jem. "Man, that noise is annoying!" When I touch the jem, surprising because the other one stung my hand, Black...

Kad's POV:
What the heck just happened?! I was going to rumble with Caleb! And now all I see is smoke. Scratch that, I see something glowing, and its giving off a strong heatwave.
As I walk closer, it becomes clear. A jewel, or half of one because that's better than a full one. And it has a flame symbol on it. "Might as well take it, not like anybody's going to stop me." Then I touch the darn thing, Black...

Katlin's POV:
Right when we are getting on there bad side, the picnic table explodes. Thats "cool". As soon as me and Chris get up, "Did you see that!" says Chris excitedly. "Of course I saw it; everyone in town probably saw it. Now-" as we're walking through the dust cloud, "lets find Kad and get out of here."
As we're walking, Chris bangs his head on something. "Chris you dumb fool, watch where your going." " I can't, there's dust everywhere." As he's about to start complaining more, whatever he ran into slides a part of itself open. It shows HALF a jem. Why would someone have half a jem?
Now I see why, its black with mummy looking strings laying on top of it. Really ugly, and even weirder, Chris looks like he's in a trance walking towards it. And when he touches it: First, he faints and Second, the jem disappeared. "Chris, are you Ok?" No answer.
As I leen against the big thing, another part slides up and reveals a jem. Again, half broken, but its a glittery purple with dog hairs or something on it.
"Finally, something worth taking!" As I try to pick off some of the hairs, Black...
