Chapter 5: Suit Up

Caleb's POV:
After calling Brandon and Leyla calling Anthony (wink*wink*) over, the first thing Brandon says is, "Nice wings Caleb." I just ignore him while the others laughed. We explained everything to them in the hideout. As for what they looked like, Brandon's hair was spiked up and electrified. He was also sparking occasionally. Anthony's hair was invisible, but visible, you couldn't see it but you could- you know what, its complicated. Also, his hair was making different sounds. He also had spikes that looked the same as his hair, but on his arms and legs. There was one on each arm and leg. They started at his wrist, and were long, sleek, and bent to to almost touch his elbow.

As for powers, Brandon could make electricity and control it. He can also become electricity and take over things when he does that. And Anthony, he makes and controls sound. And apparently, he can release the most destructive sound in the world. Scary.

After telling them what are parents told us, Brandon asks,"So the only reson we got these powers, was because we have our parents DNA?" "Yeah..." I say, and its quiet for awhile. My Dad interrupts the silence by asking "So, who wants their weapon?" We all raise our hand and say "Yes!" in unison.

My Dad walks over and takes the weapons box off the wall. "Ok my pupils, who's ready to find out which weapons theirs?" Again, we all say "Yes!" When he opens the box, I'm starting to having second thoughts. When I opened the weapons box earlier, the weapons looked filled with power. Now, they were gray and dull, only the half jems had color.

"Each one of these reacts to whoever its owner is. Which is basically whatever jem you touched. Now Caleb, pick which weapon you think is yours." Is my dad already testing me by asking which weapon is mine? I don't know. Anyway, I pick up the spiked sword that has the jem I touched in it. At first nothing happens.

"Seems like you picked the wrong one." Leyla says seriously. But then, it starts glowing and a sensation goes through my body. I feel the power flow through my body, and go into the weapon. The sword's handle feels very comfortable in my hand all of a sudden. Its blade turns silver with a light greenish tint to it, and the spikes on it start glowing light green.

"Woah, that's so cool!" Says Brandon. "Ok, Leyla's turn." Dad says with excitement. Leyla grabs the whip. At first nothing happens, but then the whip starts glowing. Her eyes were glowing while: The handle of the whip changes to fit her hand exactly, the whip's rope turns into water, and the end turns into a bubble of water. Then her eyes dim to normal.

"My turn!" Brandon says, and takes the long spiked flail, without my Dads permission. His eyes and weapon start glowing. The handle fits perfectly and the chained spike ball becomes electrified. After, his eyes return to normal.

"Brandon! It wasn't your turn yet!" Dad says angrily. "Does it really matter what order we collect our weapons?" "Well, no, but I didn't- oh whatever. Anthony grab the axe." Anthony grabs the axe, nothing. His eyes start glowing. The handle changes, and the metal part becomes whatever his hair has become. His eyes return to normal.

"Ok, time to get to trai-" before he could finish, the supercomputer starts Beeping. On the main screen, in the middle, it shows the map of the town. It has a red dot on research facility; its basically where scientists study and test experiments. "Change of plans, time for you to stop them." Dad says immediately.

"Who's them?" I ask. "The bad guys, have you ever read a comic book before?" Brandon says sarcastically. "Guys, and girl, listen. Press the jem on the weapon of your handle, like you would a button." Dad says fast. We all stand up, and press our jem. All of a sudden, FLASH. Now we're all wearing different clothes.

I'm wearing a suit, with short sleeves, that has stripes that go diagonally across. The stripes are light green and blue. I had super cool mask or shades (or both) over my eyes. I had gloves that were light green, and blue boots with butterfly wings coming off the sides. And in the middle of my suit, it had the sign of my jem.

Leyla had a mask on, a brown coat (with fluff on the collar and wrist) over her suit, which was ocean and sea blue. She had gloves made of water, and ice slippers. Kind of like Cinderella's. She had a skirt made of water, and in the middle of her suit it had her sign.

Brandon's suit had a lightning bolt on it. He had a mask on, shoes with lightning bolts on them, and his sign in the middle of his suit. Anthony had a mask on, gloves which looked like his hair, boots that had sound spikes on them and his sign on his suit.

"Well, we look-" "Fantatsic!" My Dad interrupts Anthony. "Dad, I don't think we are ready to fight villains yet. We haven't even tried using our powers yet." "Yeah Caleb's right. How will we fight them?" Leyla questions. "You'll know, trust me. But, I don't know how your all going to get there. You all can fly, except Leyla."

"Well, isn't that swell." Leyla says sarcastically. "One of you is going to have to carry her for now." "I'll do it." says Anthony. "Aww, thanks Anthony." Leyla says in a girly way. As we start flying, which is so awesome by the way, our dad presses a button on the supercomputer. A hole opens up through the roof.

"Good luck." Our Dad says while we are flying off. "I'll be sure to send Henry to your-" and that was the last thing I heard before flying out of the fake tree.

Who's Henry and why is he coming along? Who knows.

I know, I said there was going to be action in this chapter, but it didn't happen. Its going to happen next chapter, for sure. Oh, and I hope you're enjoying the book so far.
