Caleb's POV:
Dad told us about all the different things our weapons can do. Leyla's whip can heal people, Brandon's flail can turn off and on all the electricity in a 4-mile radius, and Anthony's axe can turn everybody deaf for one minute. And my sword can emit the strongest light in the world. Awesome!

"Why didn't you tell us this before?" I ask. "Because I forget things." "Of course you do." Leyla says to Dad. "Come on Caleb, use your sword!" I watch the spinning spikes spin around the blade. Going faster and faster. Then, I swing straight through the metal bag. And as it falls, bricks fall out of the bag.

"What the-" and the bag reattaches itself from the floor. "All things that brake in here will always refix itself." Dad says proudly. "Well, how am I supposed to beat it." I ask. He thinks to himself for a little bit. "I didn't think about that."

REALLY! I'm trying this for nothing. My Dad reads the expression on my face while I'm thinking this. "Actually, now you know how to use your sword." True I think to myself. "Ok Caleb, your done."

-----------------------------------------------------

After Leyla froze the bag, Brandon shocked it, and Anthony made it vibrate, we were all exhausted. "Ok, I think you guys are done for today." Dad says looking at our faces. "But before you leave press your jem like a button again."

We all press our gems, FLASH. Now we're all wearing our regular clothes, our hair is normal, and my wings are gone. Everything was gone, except for our weapons.

"What just happened?" Brandon asks, checking his hair in the mirror. "Your powers are 'hidden' from sight, even your weapons." "But I can still see mine in my hand." Leyla says, swinging her whip around. "Anybody who doesn't have a jem can't see your weapons. Just press your gem to change from superhero to normal kid." Dad says. All of a sudden he yawns.

"Man, am I tired of training y'all. Welp, see you guys tomorrow!", and he walks over to the elevator and leaves. "What time is it?" Brandon asks. "Um, ... seven o'clock." I say, pointing at the big, digital clock on the back wall. "Oh, oh shoot! I got to get home its ravioli night at my house, my favorite." And Brandon runs to the elevator and, repeatedly, presses the button to go up.

"I got homework to do." I say and run to the elevator before it closes. As it starts going up, Brandon asks, "Do you think your dad is keeping something from us?" he asks seriously. "I don't think so, why?"

"Because he keeps saying he forgets to tell us stuff. What if he's hiding something important?" "Well, we are going to have to trust him for now." As the door opens, I say goodbye to Brandon, and go to my room to finish my homework.

Leyla's POV:
Its just me and Anthony left while the others leave. It's quiet for awhile. "Do you ..." I want to say does he like me, but what comes out is, "want to find out what black energy is with me?" "Sure, lets go."

We walk over to the library and I look at all the words on the shelves:
Elements
Words
Heroes and Villains
Books to Read
"Well, I think we need elements." I say. I look through the books on the shelves. As I look for black energy, I see some crazy stuff. Life oil, Death flower petals, Liquid diamonds, etc.

Anyway I find the book on the very end of the shelf. "Found it!" I walk over to Anthony at the table behind the center globe. "Ok, time to find out what it is." Anthony says opening the book. Its a normal size book, but it has a lot of words, little pictures.

"Well, lets see ... Dark energy is dark matter in energy form, blah blah blah, it turns anything mad, upset, or evil, blah blah blah, and mixed with the elements below it can revive anything or person." I say. "Ok, so it can turn people evil and can power things." Anthony says to himself. "It can revive someone too." I say, trying to help.

We both yawn, his lasting longer than mine. I look at my watch. 8:51. "I'm going up, are you coming Anthony?" "Yeah, I'm coming." But in his eyes, I can see him thinking wondering why they stole black energy.
