I'm so excited.
I am so thrilled that the boys are going to have a common goal again. No one is a demon blood addict, nobody has the Mark of Cain, they're looking out for each other again. And there's no clear "weak" one.
Supernatural is going back to the good old days. The Winchester brother united again with a common cause. Saving people, hunting things, the family business.
I really feel like saving people is gonna be a main priority of the Winchesters this season. Season 10 was about getting the mark of Dean and I felt that Sam had tunnel vision.
He really could only see one option and one option only. Save Dean. No matter the consequences. People suffered because if this and I think that Sam (and Dean) are going to be working their asses of to redeem themselves in their own eyes.
The consequences this time around were pretty big.
The Darkness was unleashed. The Supernatural writers seemed pretty excited about going pre-god when they were interviewed at Comic-Con.
And I think it's going to rock. The writers can go anywhere. What's more, I'm sure they will.
They're not tied down to a book explaining 'in extreme detail' how it went down. They're free to do anything they want.
(I'm kind of worried about that. God knows what they'll do)
In the first episode I think it was clear that the season is going to be a bit darker than past ones. There was no joking around at all.
There was some glorious Destiel action but overall the happy-ish atmosphere was gone.
Now I know that the Winchesters just messed up pretty badly. They unleashed The Darkness for Pete's sake.
But in previous seasons there was always some kind of joke or cool phrase or something.
This time there was nada.
It was clear that this season might be a tad more serious than past ones.
But I could be proved wrong.
In fact, I think that I will be proved wrong. The Supernatural writers are too known for their wit, phrases and A class humour to just leave it.
Overall,
I am extremely excited for this season. I cannot wait to watch with the fandom as opposed to binge watching at weekends.
We gon have a good time
