I realise that this is a tad late, but can we talk about this?!!!!!
In avengers 1 it was clear that Clint and Nat were buddies and the fandom just ran with it. Fanart, imagines and headcanons soon followed and tumblr was bombarded with Clintasha.
In 'The Winter Soldier', Clintasha seemed to become more real than ever with Nat's arrow necklace (seen above), a "clear" reference to hawkeye.
There's inverted commas around "clear" because in Age Of Ultron, our clintasha ship was sunk, and Mr. Banner stepped into the picture, unintentionally seducing our dear back widow! But I'm happy for her, she is one character that 100% deserves a happy ending and I think Bruce, a pure gentleman, is the one to give it to her.
Hawkeye was always a mysterious character as we didn't get to see too much of him. Occasionally he made appearances in other Avengers movies like Thor but for most part he was a minor background character. Even in the first avengers, he spent most of the movie brainwashed by Loki.
(This is where I lose my cool and fangirl...)
BUT CLINT HAS A FAMILY! I mean they are totally the cutest family ever and Laura is too adorable but still. I fell like marvel kind of led us to believe that Clintasha was real, then they sunk our ship like the titanic.
Oh the feels! The life of a fangirl is an emotional one.
