Part 3

Ryan's p.o.v. -
I had no clue who she was talking to but I knew it was upsetting her. I hung up her phone mid sentence and told her "Did he threaten you?"

Nikki said "No. He just said he had a surprise for me or possibly us on our wedding day. I don't know what he meant."

I held her close asking "When do you want to get married?"

Nikki said "Now? Then that guy can't do anything."

I held her closer and knew she was avoiding the trouble of the call.

I said "We don't have to decide yet."

Nikki kissed my cheek and said "How about September 28th?"

I asked "Isn't that a little random?"

Nikki said "No. It's halfway between your birthday and mine."

I looked into her eyes and said "Oh. Okay. Let's do it then. September 28th it is."

Nikki said "Yay. We have a wedding date. Now to figure out everything else. We only have three months to do everything."

I said "I love you! No matter what surprise this guy has for you just know I will always love you. Nothing will change that. Absolutely nothing. Don't ever forget that."

Nikki rested her head on my shoulder as she tried to ignore the caller she had heard from collect.

A week went by and we had barely gotten anything done to seek out a location for our wedding.

Suddenly after work one day I got a call "Baby?"

Nikki said "Hey. I found the perfect place. It's peaceful, romantic, gorgeous, and we will both love it."

I made my way using her directions and for a moment I couldn't find her but when I did I just gasped "Wow! This is perfect."

Nikki said "I can't wait to marry you. I love you!"

I said "So we have a place and a day."

Nikki's p.o.v. -
I was now done with two things for the wedding.  The place and date.  We had so much more to plan.  I had so many things to find.

Ryan asked "Should we hire a professional to help us?"

I said "Honestly I don't care.  I'd be fine if it were just us and the officiant out in nature."

Ryan smiled at me but didn't tell me he already called one.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door and a lady said "Hi.  I'm Mindy Weiss.  Feel free to ask me any questions you may have about how I work."

I said "Uh Ryan?  Were you going to tell me you called her?"

Ryan said "What.  She's one of the best.  I thought you'd be happy."

I said "Oh I know she is.  I just can't believe you called her."

Mindy said "Well I cater to celebrities and this man is one.  He is on television after all."

I said "Wow.  I've seen your work."

Ryan said "Let's get started."

Mindy asked "First of all when and where are you going to be married?"

Ryan and I said "Sturtevant Falls on 9/28/16."

Mindy said "Oh a nature wedding.  That sounds like it will be quite small then."

I said "I was hoping to have minimal guests for the wedding but have more for a reception."

Mindy said "I can work with that.  How many are you thinking for each event?"

I said "Maybe as many as ten for the ceremony and about 50 to 100 for the reception?"

Mindy asked "Where do you want the reception?"

Ryan said "I wanted us to have the reception at an undisclosed location" whispering the area to Mindy.

I knew he was going to surprise me with that but I had no idea what it was.
