Ryan's p.o.v. -
As I watched my fiancée sleep in my arms, I ended the movie and kissed her forehead softly.  I loved her so much I thought my heart would explode all over the house.  My biggest issue was I needed ice for my leg and I could not move to go get any.

I didn't want to wake Nikki up as she looked so peaceful.  I sent a text to one friend who had a key to my place asking him to help me.

He replied quickly "You need me to come over just to get you ice?"

I said "Yes!  Now please get your ass over here to help me."

Mike said "You're lucky I'm not busy."

I said "Just get over here!"

A few minutes later Mike walked in the door and noticed why I couldn't move.  My leg was trapped under my sweet fiancée and she looked too cute to wake up and make her move.

He handed me some ice and talked quietly "So, have you noticed she gets tired a lot?  Her appetite is lower?  When she does want food it's sugary and high fat?"

I said "Yes.  What do you think it is?"

Mike exclaimed "Bro, I'm not a doctor.  Have her go see one.  Tomorrow."

I got help one last time with something I couldn't do myself before Mike left my house and I fell asleep holding Nikki in my arms.

In the morning she ran to the toilet and didn't come out for about ten minutes.

I had a neighbor drive us to the hospital to have her checked out.

A nurse asked "What's the problem sir?"

I said "It's my fiancée.  She needs to see someone.  She's been sick and tired often."

The nurse asked "How long?"

I said "About four weeks."

The nurse added me to the list of patients to be examined and when they called her name, I went back with her.

The Dr asked "What seems to be the problem miss?"

Nikki answered "I've been feeling nauseous on and off for about four weeks and my appetite is low.  When I do want to eat it's not very healthy.  My head is hurting horribly many days of the week.  I get tired easily."

The dr spoke "Are you sexually active?"

Nikki said looking at me "It's been since before his accident six weeks ago."

The dr said "Let's run some tests okay?"  Looking at the nurse "We need some vials and a 6 gauge needle."

I knew she hated needles, but they felt it was necessary to do a blood draw.

The nurse brought in the equipment needed for the test and then they sent it down to the lab for analysis.

We didn't know how long it would take to learn the results, but I just wanted her to be okay.  This was driving me crazy.  She had a secret that was going to come out at our wedding, test results coming any time, and my body healing from a motorcycle accident.

This was a bit too much for me take at that moment.  I wanted to find out it wasn't anything bad.  I wanted to know she was healthy and okay.

I never actually expected what the dr was going to tell us.

About twenty minutes went by and the dr walked in "I have good news and bad news."
