Whole Lotta Love (a sequel to Crush)

Part 7

Nikki's p.o.v. -
As I woke up at around 4:30 am, I had no clue why I had woken up so early.  I usually slept later than Ryan, but today for some reason I wanted a very early start to my day. 

When Ryan woke up three hours later on his day off he saw a note reading "Morning love,
I went for a run and won't be back for a while.  I'm going to visit my friend in Sacramento once I'm finished.  I'll text you later.  I'll be thinking of you as I'm gone. 
All my love,
Nikki! 💋"

As he read the words a smile formed across his face thinking "I'm going to marry that woman.  I can't wait until she's my wife.  I can't wait to have a family with her.  I love her more than anything in the world."

Once I arrived at my friend Serena's house I sent a text to Ryan "Hi.  I'm at her house.  I love you!"

He replied quickly "I love you too baby!  How long will you be there?  If it's going to be a while I'll see what Mike's up to."

I answered "That's fine.  You boys have fun if he's not busy."

Ryan texted Mike "Hey.  Are you busy bro?"

Mike replied "Nope.  What's up?"

Ryan said "Nikki's gone visiting a friend in Sacramento, want to do something?"

Mike said "I'm always up for an adventure.  Even if it's a short day trip."

Ryan texted me "I'm going on a ride with Mike.  Talk to you later love."

I replied "Okay.  Talk to you later handsome."

He met up with Mike and they took out their Harley's for a long ride.  As they passed a scenic lookout bluff, Ryan parked his bike to take a nature shot to send me and post on Instagram. 

I replied only on IG with "Aww.  That's a gorgeous view.  Miss you!"

Ryan noticed his comments and said "You are the one who decided to go visit your friend.  If you miss me its your fault."

I texted him "You could always come get me since I didn't drive."

He replied "Do you really miss me that much already?"

"Yes!" I said quickly.

Mike asked Ryan what was going on and he said "Looks we're going to Sacramento to pick up Nikki."

Mike asked "Where's she going to sit?"

Ryan said "She's small.  She'll fit fine behind me.  Besides she just got told she can ride now.  The doctor said she can be active."

Mike and Ryan pulled out of their bluff parking area and rode off towards Sacramento. 

As they were on the way, something happened.  Mike stopped his bike noticing something so scary.  All he saw was blood and metal spread everywhere.  Ryan's bike had become so destroyed it couldn't even attempt to be fixed without replacing it with a new one.  The ambulance arrived on the scene and the EMT's quickly rushed over to his bloody body. 

Mike texted me "I'm so sorry."
