Part 8

Nikki's p.o.v. -
I replied "What do you mean you're sorry Mike? What did you do?"

Mike said "It's Ryan."

"What about him?" I asked

Mike said "His bike is destroyed."

"WHAT ABOUT RYAN?" I screamed in text

"He's on his way to the hospital." Mike said

I found out which hospital and told Serena to drive me.

Serena asked "How soon?"

I said "I should be there already."

Serena grabbed her keys and peeled out of the driveway rushing me to the hospital. I ran inside the ER asking "Where's my fiancée?"

A nurse asked "What's his name miss?"

I said "Ryan Paevey."

She said "He's in surgery miss. Go to the fourth floor and wait at the nurses station waiting area."

I took the first elevator upstairs and waited with my hands at my side messing with the hem of my hoodie.

Finally a dr came out "Are you Nikki?"

I said "Yes!"

The dr said "He shattered four bones in his left leg and left arm. We had to put titanium pieces to hold the ligaments together. He will be unable to use his leg or arm for a few days and then start therapy."

I cried out "Noooo."

The dr told me I could go in and see him and I placed my hand in his looking into his eyes "Baby? I love you! Please be okay. I shouldn't have asked you to get me."

Ryan's eyes looked up at me "Baby, it's not your fault. It just happened. I'll be okay. I heal quickly. I'll be fine for the wedding."

I kissed his cheek and said "You better be. We have two months and six days."

Ryan grew tired in the hospital and luckily his day off was the day before an actual break so he had two weeks of healing time.

I kept the news to myself, but was tempted to share privately with a few Twitter friends. KittyPappas RavenThompson and a few others were asking about why he wasn't tweeting.

I finally broke down and mentioned in a private chat on facebook "He got into another accident. His bike is completely destroyed. He shattered his left leg and arm. He has more titanium in his appendages."

Kitty replied "Oh my god. I'm so sorry he's in the hospital. I hope you're helping him all you can."

I said "Yes. Mike is already renewing his food plan for the new breaks."

Raven said "That's great that he helps like that. I'm also glad he's on a break right now. The timing is crazy that it happened right before a break again."

I said "Keep him in your prayers. I need him to be healthy and strong."

All my friends said "Of course we will. We want him better too."

I went back to Ryan's side "I only told a few people. Kitty, Raven, Sharon and Emma."

Ryan smiled, although in pain "That's okay. You can tell anyone. Just not about our wedding plans. That's for us to know and our closest friends."
