Naga Sonadow

Part 5

Sonic searched around the room, desperately trying to find a window he could get out through, only to find all the walls were hardened stone and with no heat source he determined he wasn't in a building, not normal one anyway.

"I guess, I'm underground."

His ears twitched at the click of the door being unlocked, quickly he crawled under the bed as the door opened up and an orange tail decorated with gold and green bands, slithered into the room.

"Sonic?"

The voice was soft and sweet, and the delicious scent of food intoxicated the air, luring the blue hedgehog out from his hiding spot.

"Oh there you are, what are you doing under the bed? Shadow said you were supposed to be resting that foot of yours."

Sonic stared up at the beautiful orange echidna before him, her forehead decorated with a gold band with a blue crystal in the center, her shirt a pale white with green neckline covered in different colored triangles, her torso was that of a snake just like everyone else he's met so far but her's was gorgeous, it looked like it sparkled, she wore gold bands that wrapped up her arms in a spiral shape, her eyes were gentle and soft, their cool blue stare urging him out farther.

"W-who are you?"

"I'm Tikal, won't you come out to talk to me?"

Hesitantly Sonic pulled himself out from under the bed and crawled up on top of it, Tikal smiled and sat next to him.

"Amy really did a number on you with one of her so called "hugs" didn't she?"

Sonic nodded as she handed him a bowl of what looked and smelled like potato soup, he licked his lips and took a bite.

"And Shadow, I assume he scared you half to death."

He nodded again. She smiled, gently patting him on the head and ruffling his quills.

"Don't worry, Shadow's only like that to Amy and any naga who isn't suppose to be here."

Sonic looked up at her.

"W-Where am I exactly?"

"You're in Shadow's home, he's our alpha, he runs the North in the jungle, Mephilis is the South in the sea, Silver is the East in the mountains, and then there's Knuckles in the West desert."

"Shadow's the alpha? Who's the beta?"

"Shadow doesn't have a beta at the moment, he's decided he wants to make who ever he mates to be the beta of our tribe, so until he finds one, he just takes advice from the local witch doctor."

"Who's that?"

"Me, I'm hoping he'll find a mate this season, being his advisor and helping him with every single decision for the tribe really cuts into my time for my job."

"So, what does a witch doctor do exactly?"

"Well, mostly I spend my time creating potions for anything that might happen, drought, war, famine, just about everything, even made a love potion once, never used it though."

"Why not?"

"I can't predict what will happen, so I just have it stored away."

"Oh."
