The cold air felt like pin pricks against my exposed skin, my heart pounding erratically as I ran through the forest. The sound of twigs snapping behind, and the sound of dogs barking told me they were closing in. I cannot afford to get caught my family's legacy depends on me. The cliff's side appeared ahead of me. "How, I should be on the other side. Fuck, I took the wrong turn." Stopping I put my hands on my knees and caught my breath. "No, where to go little elf." I winced, his vice sent a shiver up my spine. More showed up and had me surrounded. I sighed heavily. " You choose the wrong elf to corner." A small orange sphere materialized and began to grow. "Prepare, he is a caster." The captain shouted to his men . I smiled and flung it towards the scattering hoard. Screams filled the air, and fire erupted from the ground. I continued the assault. Charred bodies mired the cliff side and the smell of burnt flesh filled the air. I staggered back, panting heavily. " Shit, I used too much energy dealing with them. With a thud my body hit the ground, my vision blurred and I was consumed by dark. Distorted sounds filled my ears, slowly I opened my eyes. The sun shone brightly. I quickly shut them. I covered my eyes and was instantly racked with pain. "Ahh!" I quickly grabbed my side which only brought more pain. "Ouch, ouch, ouch, Gods above that hurts." I heard shuffling. " Don't move to much young elf, you've gotten cut pretty deep. I'll help you sit up and reapply the bandage." A deep voice resonated through my body, it sent a pleasant shiver up my spine. Strong arms and warm hands wrapped around my body, helping me into a sitting position. The cot creaked as he sat behind me causing my body to press back into him, my cheeks felt hot. "Thank you, where am I?" The hands continued to work around my stomach and back. The voice said nothing and worked diligently. "You're in my house." He gently pat my shoulder and laid me back down. He was beautiful, olive colored skin, broad shoulders, muscled chest, and washboard abs. His body was covered in scars of various sizes, shapes, and intensities. He must be a seasoned warrior. I shivered as a cold breeze went through the tiny bedroom. I sat up and moved the thin blanket aside. " Where are my clothes and why am I naked!" I pulled the blanket over my exposed skin. He chuckled. " I removed them because they were covered in blood." I blushed heavily. 'You removed them?" Yep. "So you saw me.." Yep. I covered my face and body with the blanket. I heard him chuckling. "Why hide, you're cute and someone will want you so you have to show them someday." He ran his finger up from my lower stomach to my chest were he quickly took the blanket off my face. I blushed heavily. "Get some rest you want to heal quickly don't you?" I shook my head, laying back. I signed heavily. "This is boring." He chuckled and got me something to drink. "Drink this it'll make sleep easier." I took the glass and sipped at it. I gagged. "This is disgusting, w..why did you give me this." My body felt heavy and my eyelids even heavier. The blanket was moved back over my body and I was consumed by darkness. The cool morning breeze chilled my exposed skin. I shivered and opened my eyes. The mystery man worked diligently at my bandage. "Good morning Elf, I guess I have some explaining to do. You probably have many questions. I plan to answer all of them accordingly. As to how you got your wound. A bandit was looting your body, he thought you were dead. When you moved it startled him and his blade cut deep into you. You would have bleed out if I didn't act quickly." His voice was soft and held compassion and a tinge of sadness. "How do you know all of this?" I asked, confusion written all over my face. He smiled and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, you see I'm apart of that band of bandits, to be more precise I'm the leader of that group." He held a small smile. "O..kay well, um, yea. I don't know what to say to that." He flashed a goofy smile at me, it was adorable and kneaded my shoulder. "It's okay, but nothing will happen to you I promise." His words were reassuring and a light blush heated my cheeks. "Um, sir?" He stopped and looked at me. "Yes?" I wiggled in the bed. "Would you mind if I joined you group of bandits? I mean I have no where to go." He lightly patted my shoulder and smiled widely puffing out his chest. "Then today you'll start your training." Looking up with a puzzled expression. "What kind of training?" He smiled and scratched his chin. "I'm thinking I'll start you out with small weapons, then bows, and finally swords. How does that sound?" I smiled. "Sounds good." He placed his hand in the center of my back and lead me to the training grounds. The sounds of men and women grunting, swords clanking, and arrows piercing the targets filled the air. I look around in awe, they had a huge arena with many different fields. He looked at my face and laughed. "Have you seen anything like this where you came from." I shook my head. "Well choose a weapon and I'll begin your training. If you need improvement I'll work with you." I shook my head and grabbed a pair of daggers. He raised his eyebrow then beckoned another that entered the arena. The ugly piggish man had a smile on his face. "Just because you have a pretty face doesn't mean I'll go easy on you, elf boy." Enraged, I dashed forward catching the guy off guard. In a flash I had him on his ass one dagger to his throat the other to his cock and balls. "If you ever call me a boy again I'll reduce you to a screaming woman, Got it, pig breath." The man's face paled and he swallowed hard, looking down in submission. "Yes sir, I'm sorry." I removed the blades and stood. He scurried away looking at the chief, his eyes held amusement and he was quietly chuckling. A murmur broke out from the crowd, I blushed lightly. Howls of laughter followed after a few seconds of silence. "Well done boy." The chief pat my head roughing up my hair. I laughed and let him. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and led me away from the training ground. "Where'd you learn to fight like that. I could barely see you when you dashed towards him. If I didn't process the same skill I would've thought you teleported to him." I blushed lightly. I mean I did, I thought to myself. "I'm an elf, agility is in my blood." He smiled and dropped the topic. As we walked we talked about what I knew and what I needed to improve on. I tripped over a rock. "Oof." He chuckled and offered his hand. I grabbed it, he quickly pulled me up catching me off guard. I fell into his chest. His arm wrapped around my waste. I blushed heavily and tried to wiggle out of his firm grip. He only tightened it. I looked up into his eyes. I got lost in his crimson gaze, I snapped back into reality. "Um sir?" His gaze didn't shift. "Yes?" I looked down.
"Can you please let me go?" He shook his head, realizing what he was doing. He quickly let me go. I turned around quickly gripping the fabric in front of my heart. It was beating erratically. "Um. I'm sorry." I took a deep breath to calm myself. "It's okay, by the way my name is Cal." He smiled. "Nice to meet you my name is Ren. Best be careful, always be aware of your surroundings." Ren said caringly. Has he forgotten already? I thought shaking my head I blew off the situation. We trained non-stop for days, whether it was with the others or just us. I slowly became the top fighter in the group other then Ren. I became his right hand man. Assigned me different duties then the others. It sparked a lot of jealously between the men. Many have challenged me, others have called me Ren's lap dog. Some spoke as I somehow seduced Ren into giving me this position. Ren and I became really close. There isn't a lot of places that I don't accompany him. When we gathered at the dinning hall I always had a seat beside him. I've always admired him as a leader. Every feature that made Ren, Ren, the stern face, with eyes ever observing, broad shoulders that carries the hopes and dreams of everyone and himself. When one of us dies he blames himself, no matter if there was nothing he could do. To him there was always something that he could've done to prevent that death from happening. He shares our happiness, our joy, our love, and our sadness. Whenever we went on raids, when everyone was shaking with excitement his muscles would tense up and he would always have this goofy smile on his face. It always made me chuckle. Although, through all of the things he never had someone that he deeply cared for. The other's had someone they cared for. What we do may not be what most would consider "honorable" but as bandits we have a code. That doesn't mean we don't do things normal races/groups would do. Emotions are still an aspect of us. I signed heavily and looked towards the sky. My thoughts are gonna be the end of me. "Oof." Strong arms wrapped around me. "You should really watch were you are going." I looked up and saw Ren smiling. "Hello sir, sorry I was lost in thought." He poked my head. "Don't strain yourself." Laughter was in his voice. "Excuse you, I shall have you know that thinking doesn't hinder me like the others. Also, I'm a lot smarter then half of everyone here." I pouted and out my hands to my hips. "You're so cute when you get angry." He booped my nose. " I hate you at times." I tried to hold onto my reslove, it didn't work I laughed hysterically. "Do you have anything planned for tonight, sir?" Ren scratched his head. "Um other than looking around the parameter, nothing why?" I rubbed the back of my neck. "May I accompany you?" He smiled and roughed my hair. "Sure, this'll be a good way for you to understand your surroundings. It's been what three months." I shook my head. We started at the east end of the camp and made our way past the river bend and to the west side. The night was tranquil, the sky clear and stars
glowed beautifully. "It's very peaceful out here isn't it." I looked up at Ren, the moonlight reflected against his face. He really is beautiful. I shivered. "You cold?" I shook my head no, he smiled and wrapped his arm around me. "What are you doing I said I wasn't cold." He chuckled. "What's so funny." He shook his head. "The fact that you are saying one thing and your body is saying another." I looked down and a small smile pried at my lips. He tightened his grip, my head rested upon his chest. My heart rate increased, I listened to his heartbeat, his smell was divine. I looked up and he smiled widely. During the walk we talked about plans for the future. Some of his ideas were a little out there. I had no doubt that he could accomplish those plans. We sat by the waterside laughing over small talk and some humorous stories. His voice deep and low made me shiver. My heart beat erratically. Feelings that will never be returned. It's a love like a squire to his knight, completely one sided. The hope that he may one day return the feelings kept it bearable. I'm happy being by his side. I want him to know that if the world would turn it's back on him that I'll be there to help him take on the world. He pat my back and told me he was heading to bed. I walked with him until we parted ways for the night. The sun shined through the small window. I yawned, stretching lax muscle. I smiled put on some clothes and walked towards the dinning hall. The roar of laughter, silverware clanking, and cups slamming against the large wooden table. I got the usual whistles and looks. I signed and tucked away a piece of stray hair behind my ear. Walking back to take my usual seat next to Ren. "Eh, baby why don't we spend some quality time together. I have a big surprise for you." He smiled and gestured to his soft cock. My eyes flashes feral. The crowd burst into laughter. In a flash I held my blade to his throat. "Next time you are going to say something of that nature, don't gesture to something that small, also, choose someone who is less then your superior." I spit on his lap. " I wouldn't spend quality time time with you if you were the last man on his earth." He gulped and shook in his place. Ren cleared his throat. I removed my blade. "Sorry, Ren." I looked down. "Come, sit Cal." He gestured to the seat next to him. I took my seat. "I'd be careful, Alba, even the most beautiful rose has thorns. Roses have a tendency to draw blood on those who don't handle them with care." I blushed a deep red. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder. " This rose has thorns." I smiled. Alba got up in disgust and walked out. Breakfast continued as normal. The rest of the day Alba kept his distance and avoided eye contact. "Serves him right I mean who does he think I am."Becoming more irritated at the thought, I decided to take a walk. The sun shined brightly. There wasn't a cloud in the sky. I sighed happily. These are the days I love the most. Kneeling beside the water, cupping my hands and dipping them in. I splashed it on my face. It felt so nice. I decided to go swimming. Quickly stripping out of my clothes I jumped in. "Ah this is heaven!" I laid back floating on the waters surface. The birds were chirping and the water trickled across the rocks. It was pure tranquillity. "Mind if I join you." I looked up and saw Ren squatting down along the water's edge. He wore a beautiful smile. I smiled back. "I don't mind, the water is heavenly." He stripped from his clothes slowly. I quickly turned around. He chuckled." You know we are both men." He said amusement entangled each word. I blushed crazily. "Yes, I know." The way I feel about you, I don't want things to be awkward. I thought. I held my arm. The water splashed behind me. I turned to see the little bubbles rising to the surface where he sank. Treading the water, I waited for him to reappear. I was pulled under the water, shocked I didn't get a breath. Ren was chuckling under the water. I shook my head and punched his shoulder. He grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to him. His other hand wrapped around my waster tenderly. He smiled while I tried to wiggle out of his grip. Amusement flashed in his eyes as he tightened his grip. My world stopped. I placed a shaky hand against his bare lightly furred chest. He brought us to the surface. Each of us catching our breaths. He let go of my hand, it fell onto his shoulder. He smiled and gripped my chin bring me closer, he brushed is lips over mine. My breath hitched. He pressed his lips to mine and sparks of electric bliss, shot through my body. He became more aggressive. His kisses became rough and hungry. I moaned slightly. His hands roamed over my body, tongues intertwined and breaths taken between kisses. I wrapped my arms and legs around him. He brought us to the bank and pressed me into the ground his hardening cock slide across my belly. My own hardening as well. His lips devoured my neck and left nipple. His hand slipped in between my cheeks and rubbed against my hole. I moaned. Ren smiled widely. I finally had him all to himself. "I'm sorry my sweet, I don't have oil to help ease the process. Ren said through raged breaths. "It doesn't matter, I want you in me now." He chuckled amusement danced in his crimson colored eyes. "I've been waiting for this day for a very long time." Ren smiled bigger. "Then what type of man would I be if I kept a jewel like this waiting." Cal lifted his legs and blushed heavily. "Here I go." Aligning himself with his lovers hole, he slowly popped the head in. Cal let out the most addictive sound, Ren's ever heard. The love of his life, beneath him and the way he fit so perfectly together. Ren wanted to savor this moment but his too eager partner clenched around his cock. It was almost enough to bring him to climax. Biting his lip he smiled widely. "Hey, I was admiring you beneath me." Cal grinned wickedly and clenched around my cock again. I left out a moan. "If you keep that up this will be the quickest session in history. Cal smiled. "Then hurry up and fuck me." I grabbed his hips and slammed into him. He left out a loud moan. "That's it baby let me hear you." Continuing to pound into him, his cock was dripping profusely. I leant down and licked the succulent tip. "I'm close Ren." I smiled and grabbed his cock. In sync with his own thrusts he pumped his wanting member. We both came at the same time. I licked the back of my hand and smiled. We were both panting. After cleaning ourselves. "That was amazing." Ren kissed me gently and smiled. "Yes it was." The sun was setting. " We should head back." He smiled and shook his head and took my hand. We walked back through the forest. It was oddly quiet, the men should be having dinner about now. We're always the loudest at dinner. "Get down, something isn't right here." We went on our bellies and slowly crawled to where we could see the camp. Smoldering buildings and bodies of what once was friends was all that remained of our camp. We ran down, tears pooled in my eyes, this place was my home, these people were my family. We checked their bodies trying to find any survivors. Arrows stuck out of some bodies like pin cushions. Some had their hands bound and their throats slit. It was an execution. Who had the power to take out an entire bandit camp. Thoughts ran through my head, was it another bandit group, or was it the army? "Over here, Alba is still alive!" I ran over dropping to my knees. "What happened here?" I couldn't help but sound a bit bitter, I still don't like him. He was cut through the guts. The blood pooled beneath him. I almost felt sorry, almost. He was going to die slow and painfully. He explained that a group in an unknown sigil caught them off guard. They started with arrows, they rained down like hell fire. Then the foot soldiers came in the middle of our confusion. They cut us down in a matter of minutes. We took some of them down but they removed the bodies. A sharp pain racked through my head. I collapsed on the ground. "Cal!" Ren's voice came in distorted. My vision blurred slightly and a loud ringing was in my ears. The sounds of grunting and deep thuds filled my ears. I looked with wobbly vision as a man beat Ren. "Not so tough are you now, infamous bandit chief." His voice dripped with a mocking tone. "Now to finish you off." The man drew his blade. "No, don't you dare hurt him." My voice filled with desperation. The man bore a wicked smile. "Oh, I see, is he your lover?" He drew the blade slowly across Ren's throat. Blood trickled down his neck. "Oh, don't worry I won't kill him yet." I fainted. "Oh, such a pity I would've loved to kill you while he watched in utter helplessness. Although." A wicked smile from cheek to cheek formed in the man's face. "I could kill him while you watch instead." The man slowly walked towards Cal's motionless body. "If you harm him you will regret it." I tried to stand, my body refused to get up. Tears rolled down my cheeks. I just got him and now I'm going to loose him. I panicked at the thought. Cal stood up staggered a bit. His eyes resembled that of a snakes, his pupils were narrow and the color changed, it reminded Ren of a raging fire. "Unforgivable." Cal hissed. The man stopped. "What did you say? Does the little runt have some fight left in him." The man smiled maliciously. "My, my Ren I guess you do get to watch me cut up your cute little body." Cal smiled his smile was jagged and wicked. A murderous expression mired his face. Ren trembled with terror. The man before him looked the same as Cal but wasn't Cal. This man was shrouded in a cloud of malice. The air was dense with power. The man lounged at Cal. Cal span gracefully dodging the man's blade. Cal reached back grabbing the man's shoulder. A loud snap and screaming filled the air. "Oh, did that hurt." Cal's voice hissed happily. "You threaten someone my mediums mate, murdered his friends. This is your sin. Unforgivable! You will know pain beyond comprehension." Cal hovered his hand over the man's arm. The bone distorted, cracking and screaming filled the air. "I am Calsifer, prince of Dragons." His shirt ripped and long black wings flapped freely. "Divine punishment will be your retribution for harming Ren. Let it be heard to both demons and man, whoever will is to hurt Ren will suffer the same fate." Dark clouds materialized and lightning struck the man turning him to ash. Calsifer turned my way, small horns appeared on his head. Fire flickered through a crimson gaze. They were beautiful. "Ren." I stood strait. "Y-yes?" Captured by those crimson eyes, he was breathtakingly beautiful in this form. Calsifer had a small smile on his lips. "This one has grown quite fond of you. His longing to protect awoke me. I understand you might have a lot of questions, but, my time here is very limited, My other naïve self sealed away our power for a chance at happiness, which was long denied to us. My time is almost up. I will fall into slumber once again. I will always be in a state of awareness, ever watching over you two. When either you or myself befalls great danger, know that I will come and protect you. My aid comes with a heavy cost. The one you know as Cal will disappear and I will gain full control once again. Once the seal is broken there will be nowhere to find peace. I have a lot of enemies in both worlds, yours and mine. For now it is up to you to protect him. As you may have noticed he holds but of fraction of our true power. Anyway, my time is over." He grabbed my chin and took my mouth in a passionate kiss. He smiled. "I can see why he's fond of you. Goodbye Ren." With that his eyes turned back to normal, the wings shrank back into his back, were black wing like designs appeared. His horns receded and collapsed into me. His breath was shallow but soon retuned to normal, lowering us down I let his head rest into my lap. I brushed the stray hairs behind his ear. He looked so peaceful. "To think that you are the son of a dragon king." Cal nuzzled into my stomach, all the terror I felt rushed back to me, I trembled, all the destruction he can cause, the lives he can take without a second thought. I shook my head "Now's not the time to think about this stuff." Looking around the scene, the still smoking pile of ash. I wouldn't want to be the poor fools who crossed Calsifer. Thoughts of what else he may be able to do sent a shiver up my spine. Cal as a normal elf didn't give off the intense power that "Calsifer" did. Lost in his own thoughts he was startled when Cal grabbed his hand. "You're awake!" I kissed his forehead. Cal hugged me tightly. "I thought I was going to loose you!" Cal cried into my chest. I ran my hand over his back in long soothing strokes. "I'm a lot hardier then what you may think." Cal hugged me tighter. "But your neck." Cal sniffled and ripped apart his shirt. He tied a strip tight enough for it to heal but not choke me. His fingers trembled. I took them in my hands and kissed the back of his hand. He smiled sadly. I took his chin and kissed him passionately. "Now cheer up, you are the most beautiful when you're smiling." He chuckled. " That was the most corny thing I've ever heard." I smiled. "Well if it makes you smile or laugh, I'll do it as much as I need to." The amount of love flashing through those beautiful crimson eyes had me melting and wanting skin to skin contact. I slid my hands under his shirt and held him tightly. "You know exactly what to say. Thank you." His small lover kissed him with deep passion. "What are we going to do now? Where will we go?" Ren held his lover close. "We'll get through it somehow, together." Ren frowned. "What's wrong?" His head sank lower. "I just realized that we have no money." Cal's head drooped. "Yea, we are broke aren't we." Cal's fist met with the palm of his hand. "Oh, that's right we aren't broke." Ren tilted his head. I smiled largely. "I have a stash hidden tucked away in a dead tree." Ren couldn't help but laugh. Ren puffed his chest out. "I'm amazing I know." Cal rolled his eyes and chuckled." Cal quickly came to his feet, taking Ren's hand, with renewed strength Cal dragged him through the forest. In the middle of the hallow. Cal knelt down and rummaged through the decaying tree. He removed one large sack, then another, and another. Ren's eyes widened. After Cal finished he brought out a total of 7 large sacks. "Holly hell love. you have been busy. It's not all money, only the 3 sacks here are. The others are various items that could be sold to gain additional profit if the need be." Ren smiled "Beautiful and resourceful. Cal lightly punched Ren's arm. "Ouch, careful love you could've broken my arm." Cal burst into laughter. "Yea, yea, whatever you say Mr. Chief. If it only took that light of a tap to break your arm then how have you not been permanently paralyzed." Ren raised an eyebrow. "Mr. Chief?" The couple broke out in laughter. "A little to much?" Cal wiped his eye. Ren smiled and pulled him closer. "Now, we need to find a inn. It's really late." Cal nodded in agreement. The pair made their way down the dirt road that lead to the town. They were greeted by the massive iron archway. The town was surprisingly busy given the time of night. The roar of laughter from the nearby tavern rang through the wide main street. The pair walked through the street, Cal held onto Ren's arm tightly. "I don't like towns, the people are crazy, who enjoys the sight of public executions." Ren chuckled lightly. "It is a communal thing." Cal gave him a look of disgust. The doors of the tavern burst open and a man flew onto the ground. "You bastard, my, my wife. How dare you defile our marriage." The fat man smelled of alcohol. The tall, man stood and wobbled a bit. He smelled of alcohol but not to the extent of the other man. "Your wife had more fun in my company then she ever did with you." The man gave the other a wide smile. The fat man noticed his audience. "Oh, would you look this two queers. Did you get lost?" Enraged Cal grabbed Ren's shoulder, squeezing it as his hand trembled with anger. "You better watch you tongue, if this continues I won't be responsible for what is to come." The man snorted. "Ooh, I'm trembling in my boots, is the fairy going to turn me into a frog or something." Ren winced with pain as Cal tightened his grip on his shoulder. The air became dense. Ren turned to see his small partner baring horns. Is he unknowingly channeling his true power. " Cal, baby calm down, the ignorant fool doesn't realize what he's talking about." The fat man laughed and drew a blade. "After I'm done with pretty boy, I'll take care of you." He pointed to Ren. "Your kind are disgusting and deserve to die. But since I have no plans of being sent to the dungeons today, I won't kill you just cut you many different ways." Cal growled behind him. His eyes have completely shifted. "Step aside Ren, he has crossed the line and threatened you." Ren not wanting to get in the way of his enraged lover, he stepped aside and gestured to the other man. "If you don't want to be caught in the crossfire, I'd highly recommend joining me over here." The man didn't think twice he quickly joined Ren. "You have no idea who you're dealing with, pretty boy." The fat man lunged. Cal, grabbed the mans arm lifting it high above his head, in a quick motion be snapped the man's arm. The man cried out. Letting his arm go, Cal grabbed his neck and lifted him into the air. "Monster, let go of me." Cal tilted his head. "Monster, you say. If a monster is what you are looking for then who am I to not oblige." Cal threw the man to the floor. "Calm down baby, please don't do something you'll regret in the future." Cal got on top of the man and raised his fist. With tremendous force Cal's fist shattered the earth to the side of his head. All the color drained from the man. Cal's appearance turned to normal. "Welcome back, babe." Ren smiled and hugged his small lover. Cal tilted his head. "Where'd I go." The other man looked confused. "Oh, nowhere." Cal glared at the other man. "Who are you?" The man stepped back. "Um. I'm Cole." Ren gave the man a small smile. " Why were you two fighting anyway." Cole scratched his chin. "I may or may not have slept with his ex-wife." Ren looked confused. "Ex, as in not together anymore. Then why did he mention his wife." Cole sighed. "It's complicated." Cal groaned. "Of course it is, why wouldn't it be." Cal yawned and leaned into Ren. "Do you know a good inn. As you can see we've been traveling and we are very tired." Cole nodded his head and led the way into the nearby inn. "Thank you for your help. Now if you don't mind leave us." Cal wrapped himself around his lover's body. "I'm tired let's sleep leave the human to his own devices" Ren gave Cole a small smile. "Good night Cole, thanks again for helping us." Cole nodded and left. Cal was already in bed. Ren smiled and joined his lover, wrapping him in his arms. Cal nuzzled into his warm cocoon. The smell of fire, awoke the sleeping pair. They quickly dressed and ran down the stairs into the panicked crowd. Fire engulfed buildings towards the end of town. Children clung to their mothers skirts, while the father figure ran to grab their heirlooms. Ren stopped a guard. "What happened here?" "We don't know, the fire just happened out of nowhere. Men in black armor came through and started to slaughter the soldiers." Ren grabbed Cal's hand. "Let's get out of here. I have a bad feeling about them." Cal nodded and rushed to the other side of town. Soldiers in black armor blocked the gates. "Shit, what should we do now?" Cal grabbed Ren's arm. "Don't worry babe, it'll be okay." Cal smiled. "Okay Ren." Cole gestured to us confused we walked over. "Hello my handsome companions. How would you like to get out of here?" Cal glared if he was a wolf he'd growl. "He's mine. Choose your words wisely or I'll rip out your tongue." Ren smiled and Cole paled. "Anyway follow me, there is another way out of the town." Cautiously pair followed the man. "How do you know of this place?" Cole opened a caged door and lit a torch. "I have peculiar tastes in items, that require me know the quickest way out." Cal glared. "If you try anything funny and try to harm Ren I will kill you." Cal wrapped his arms around Ren's waist. "It's my job to be protective." Ren gave Cal the puppy eyes. "Trust me when I say, I have no desire to cross you. I saw the last guy that threatened Ren." Cal smiled. The trio continued to weave their way through the small tunnel system. "Where does this lead to anyway." Ren grabbed Cal's hand and smiled. "To the west side, we are technically in the waste line." Cal winced. "That's disgusting." Ren chuckled. "He may be deadly but he's a little high maintance." Cal pouted. "I am not high maintance." Ren chuckled and kissed his cheek. "Whatever you say love." Cole cleared his throat. "Can you hold off the couple antics until we are safely away from the town." Ren smiled and rubbed the back of his neck. " I guess, I have all night to be intimate." Ren flashed Cal a heated look, bringing heat to his cheeks. "Sorry, sorry." Ren saw Cole glaring. "We're here." Cole said dryly. "Thank chum." Cal smacked Cole against the back. Cole winced. "Okay, note taken, chill out with the smacking. He's stronger then he looks." Ren smiled. "Do I look like the type to fall in love with pretty boys because they look good? He's my right hand man and the most reliable friend I could ever wish for." Cole looked at Ren with a critizing gaze. "I haven't seen you fight yet." Ren chuckled. "The opportunity hasn't been presented yet." "Over there!" Men in black armor ran over to the trio. "Well, here's your opportunity big shot." Cole smiled and gestured towards the approaching soldiers. Cracking his joints and rolling out his arms and shoulders Ren stepped forward. "I guess it is. Stay here babe this'll only take a minute." Cole watched in fascination as Ren charged towards the soldiers, back stepping the first ones attack. Grabbing his wrist he quickly disarmed him. In a fluid motion, Ren cut open his chest. Switching the position of the blade, Ren sped though the on coming attackers, blood gushed from the ones side, hitting the ground in a hollow thud. "Die!" The last soldier charged Ren as his back was turned. The soldier hit the ground, a silver knife stuck between his eyes. Ren turned and saw Cole pluck the knife from the body. "Thanks, that could of ended badly." Ren said through labored breaths. "No, problem." Cal sheathed the blade he drew. "No, it wouldn't I was about to nail him, when he threw it. Thank you by the way, I would have hate to have lost control and wiped out everyone of those black armored fools. Also, not bad, I barely saw you throw it." Cole nodded. "Now, would you like to tell me how someone in your specific field has mastered that skill." Cole sat on a near by stump. "Well, if you must know, I used to be an assassin, but now I'm no more then a thief." Cal glared. "Do you think I'm that stupid, remove the suppression spell. Show us your true form." Cole grinned and stood. He removed a small stone from his pocket and crushed it. In a flash of light stood a gray skinned demon, with jet black hair, emerald eyes, and horns protruded from his head. He went on one knee and bowed his head. "Nicely done Calsifer, I didn't think I could fool the Prince of Dragons." Ren looked at Cal. "I didn't think you knew about your other form." Cal frowned. "Are you mad? I honestly didn't want to have lied and act like I didn't know." Ren shook his head. "I'm not mad I promise." Ren took his upset lovers lips in a hot passionate kiss. He smiled when he saw Cal's eyes dazed. "How did you know he was a demon." Cal shook his head. "His smell, dragons have enhanced senses. Even though I sealed away my dragon half, I still possess my enhanced senses." Cole charged, drawing his blade, thrusting it forward. I caught it between my index and middle fingers. "I see you haven't lost your touch Prince Calsifer." Cal's amethyst eyes sparkled in the sun light. "Dragor, if you ever do something like that again I will kill you." Cal's amethyst eyes dared the demon to challenge him. Dragor bowed his head in submission. "Dragor?" Ren looked down at the demon. "Cole was the name I used to fool the humans. My real name is Dragor, Second Lieutenant in the demon royal army. It is a pleasure to meet you Ren, when I heard Prince Calsifer has chosen to take a human lover instead of a dragon or demon, I was blown away at the thought. Why would the Prince choose a lowly human." Cal held his blade to Dragor throat. "Silence your tongue, before I cut it from your mouth!" Dragor bowed his head in submission again. Ren squeezes my shoulder. "Calm down, I doubt he meant anything by it." Cal removed the blade and sheathed it. Dragor sat up. "As I was saying. I couldn't believe what I heard so I came to this world in high hopes that I would find you both." Ren held Cal's face. Cal's eye turned draconic. "Your eye, it changed." Cal smiled. "The seal is starting to break, when Dragor charged I instinctively drew power from my other form." Dragor gleamed with happiness."Change back into the Calsifer I know instead of this weaker form." Dragor pleaded. "No, I plan to stay in this weaker form for years to come and live my life with Ren." I hugged Ren tightly. "But Prince Calsifer what about the throne. You were meant to be the ruler after your father stepped down." "Enough! My name is Cal. I will not repeat myself again. I wish to live my life with Ren." Dragor opened his mouth to protest but quickly shut it. "As you wish, Prince, I mean Cal. But as Second Lieutenant, I will accompany you and protect you with my life." Cal smiled. Dragor had been Cal's friend for as long as he could remember. "We've been friends for as long as I could remember." Dragor stood and hugged Cal tightly. "I've missed you Cal. It's been awfully boring sense you left. Also, the king has been very edgy. He is ripping apart the kingdom to find you." Ren glared at Dragor. " If you would mind release Cal before I tear off your arms and beat you with them." He didn't try to hide the threatening tone his voice held. Dragor backed off and lifted his hands. " You know he is top pick amongst the dragons' and demons' as the perfect suitor." Ren grabbed Cal and pulled him close. " Sorry to break it to them but he's mine and nobody else will have him." Cal blushed and leaned into his possessive lover. " Yea and I won't take anyone other then Ren." Ren smiled and kissed Cal. "Ew, I think I'm going to throw up." Dragor fake gagged. "Get used to it buddy, because as you said you'll be traveling with us." Dragor looked at Cal. "Did you tell him yet?" Cal and Ren both looked confused. "What do you mean?" Dragor smiled sadly. "It looks like you forgot." Cal tilted his head. Why is he so sad? Various thoughts ran threw Cal's head. "When I sealed my raw power away, I lost my memories as well, I just started to remembering bits of my past." Dragor cheered up a bit. "So there's still hope then. That's great!" Dragor trembled with excitement. "So where exactly did you plan to go?" Ren and Cal both chuckled. "We don't know, theses same men attacked our home. They killed everyone and took our money and items. Do you know who these assholes are?" Ren turned towards Dragor. "All I know about them is that they aren't human." Ren scratched his head. "What do you mean not human?" Dragor walked over to one corpse and removed their helmet. "What the fuck is that!" The creatures face was grotesque and deformed. It held the appearance of a wolf, but the face had human like characteristics. The snout protruded slightly from the face. The teeth were yellow and rotting. The eyes were a yellow color, that held the characteristics of a wolf. I removed the rest of the armor, exposing a heavily furred torso, tufts of hair wrapped around thick boned wrists. The creatures genital region was animalistic instead of human, thick muscular legs that were also thick boned. There was tufts of hair around the ankles and the feet held human characteristics except the sole and heel were replaced with rough skin that resembled a wolf's paw pad. " What maniac could create such creatures." Ren nose wrinkled in disgust. "There are plenty of maniacs that could create these beings in the realm of demons, but they all have been jailed or killed because this required the souls of humans and the blood of demons. The practice was banned when one of the royal court decided to capture and kill one of the kings children in order to create an army that had the potential to overthrow and kill the king. They would have succeeded if the king didn't decide to take his own son and turn him into a weapon. When the child underwent the process, he was no more then an infant. When the child finished the process he possessed enough power to surpass the gods. When the gods found out they banded together and cursed the child that whenever he hit the age of maturity, his body would reject the power and destroy itself." "Stop, please say no more." Cal pleaded with his eyes. Dragor smiled and left it go. "What's wrong, baby. Why did you stop him." Cal smiled and leaned into Ren. "Some of my memories came back and its making me a little fatigue." Ren picked up his small lover. Cal yelped surprised and held on tight. Ren smiled and walked over and sat under a tree's shade. Ren made Cal lean onto him. " You didn't have to go through this much trouble over a little fatigue." Ren smiled and ran his fingers through my hair. "It's my job to worry about you." Dragor walked over and sat with us. "So you really care for him don't you Ren?" Dragor's voice held fast, but the sadness in his eyes betrayed his voice. "I do, I may not have been with him long but I wouldn't be here today without him. If I have never met him and fallen in love with him, when those creatures wiped out the entire camp I would've followed them in death." Dragor smiled. "Ah, I see, well it has been a pleasure to meet you, hope we can get along." Ren smiled and held out his hand. "Likewise, but I still don't know where we will go. I mean there are other bandit groups. There are also guilds we can join as well." The group thought it over.
