Chapter 11: Birth right

(Lilith's p.o.v)

I hummed as I looked through the cake book Rin bought over. He begged me to let him bake the wedding cake, which to be fair is better than letting Mephisto buy one.

"Oh that one's cute" I looked at my demon as he pointed to a bright pink cake.

"The cake is not being pink!" We had been fighting about the type of icing for a rather long time already and I've had enough. "Besides the book clearly states the cake my show both the bride and groom, therefore no pink end off" he pouted then crossed his arms looking to the side. I turned the page, hoping to hell there is a cake in here we can use. My hand stops as I notice the purple icing cake. It was chocolate with three tiers and lavender icing. The golden coloured flowers up the left side where beautiful. "Mephisto" I felt him look over my shoulder.

"It's no bad, actually is that the one you want?" I nodded and looked at him smiling brightly.

"My favourite colour and it goes with your hair" his eye twitched but he smiled none the less.

"Alright we'll have that cake, I'll call Rin."

This had to be the worse day ever!

I'm stuck shopping with Ezio, Shima, Rin, Shiemi and Lilith, who had to bring along a blind folded Mephisto. She wanted us to help pick her wedding dress and her strange rules state she can't leave Mephisto's side but that he also can't see her dress. I got stuck with the guiding the blind demon job. Along with my usual keep Ezio out of trouble job.

"This one is nice"

"Shima she told us no white. It's insulting to her religion"

I rolled my eyes watching Rin and Shima look through one side of the dress section, the girls looking at the other. Ezio was somewhere, I didn't really care right now. Dealing with Mephisto was taking all my strength.

"I hate this rule. I have the perfect dress in mind." I glared at him, pouting with the bright pink sleep mask covering his eyes. He was actually dressed in a more normal suit as well. So no one would notice at first glance a group of kids dragging their head master, blind folded, through a mall.

"It's your book, if you're the god change them"

"It's not that simple Kai!" I grinned knowing I hit a nerve for him. There are many rules in Lilith's book that I know for a fact he can't agree on. Such as the woman having to have with own sword before their 18. When I first came here he begged me to try and talk Lilith out of being a knight. I also know he is against the whole excepting other religions thing. He hates having crosses everywhere, any holiday that isn't his own and well everything about Ezio's religion.

"Yeah your great mother really fucked you over king of space time" I teased, having read her book just to find thing to use against him.

"My mother loved me thank you very much" I froze and looked at him, noticing that his usually smug smile is gone.

"Wait the great mother of Lilith's religion, the one you're a god of is your mother?"

"And Amaimon's. She's also mother to another two of the Baal." I went to ask more but stopped hearing Lilith scream. I looked round and forced Mephisto back in his seat seeing she was just screaming about the black dress Rin had picked out. I have to admit it did look nice on her. It reached her feet and looked very light.

"You'll like the dress" I teased and he huffed complaining that his mother must have predicted this or something like that.
